Why do you think Bandai need to block out Voltes' image if it were only a simple repaint? They didn't do the same for GX65. I suspect there would be a slight remold or revision - hopefully one that will strengthen the weak joints or connection points.
A ver 2.0 like GX50 would be truly awesome.

It seems we're getting repaints of Gx01R+ and Aphrodite A as well?! I edited the title of the thread. Gold Oh ho ho ho! Gets even more interesting now. Guess both of the extremely elusive and scalper-priced GX-01R and GX-08 will start flooding the online-shops and auction-sites now with much lower pricing and easy availability. ALL HAIL, BANDAI! w00000 h00000!!!!!!!!!

If the GX-01R is a regular release, I'll bite. But since I already have the original, if Bandai makes it a TWE, then I'll pass for sure. Don't care for the Aphrodite much. The Voltes V, if it is a renewal version, like the GX-50, then I'll get it for sure. But if it is just a repaint, like the recent Daitarn, it will not be joining my collection. }D

It'll be a SOC. Recolor or Reissue. Bandai's trying to sell those new Virsago Action Stands, see? Srsly, tho. Remember those pics of the upcoming Virsago Action Stands in last year's toy fair or so? The SoCs they were showing it off with have been trickling out. Daitarn's released, while Trider, Daltanious, and Godmars are upcoming. The other SoCs that were shown on the virsago-stand are Voltes V, Daimos, Combattler and God Sigma. I think even Zambot was shown with the stands. Bandai actually posted that up again at the Tokyo Toyshow. click for pic over at Amiami's FB albumclick for closeup pic over at Amiami's FB album Gold

But Don't tell me that BS getter themed rehash SRCs it for Getters big 40. is that it? That would be just too sad for their birthday.b
I'm glad Sentinel was there to pick up the slacks on the birthday celebration for poor Getter.

Well from what I've seen, Aphrodite A hardly suffers from "scalper prices" - she certainly doesn't command the kind of prices GX-02R and Boss Borot do, that's for sure.
I hope she's just a straight reissue tho. I already own the GX-01R and I've been meaning to pick up the Mazinger girls for ages but I've been procrastinating, hopefully this means I can just get them even cheaper than I already could've.

I'd be in for the Maz repaint. I have the GX.....45, but I'd like the classic SOC to go with my Great Maz.

I'm excited about GX-01R+. Hopefully won't have to jump through any weird hoops to get it.
And I'd love to see a GX-10 Boss Borot reissue to follow.

I've got this strange feeling that Bandai will call this one GX-68 Voltes V or Combattler, change the colour a bit and add a stand. I hoping that's not the case and it's a DX figure.

I developed a steady fascination with Voltes V every time I spent vacation in the Philippines growing up. Being weened on Voltron growing up in the US, I started to become curious as to what Voltes V was all about. It wasn't until I imported and watched the entire anime series (Philippine accented English version) that I got hooked. And after getting my first SOC with God Marz, I had to have GX-31 and GX-31V, and have been hooked with SOC's since.
Whether this upcoming Voltes is a SOC or DX, I will be buying 2 more, just for the love of my motherland's "Voltron." Voltes V to me, is not only a bad ass looking robot with cooler weapon attacks than my original childhood Voltron had, but a link to my heritage and a way for me to bond with older family members, friends and co-workers who were old enough to watch and experience the original anime.
Thank you Bandai Japan. The wait is worth it. I will literally poop in my pants if this happens to be a DX version. But will be totally thankful for any SOC reissue or repaint what-so-ever.
