Thanks Mechanical Flesh. Thanks Robot Lover/Fighter. I'm looking forward to the Voltes but based on the stuff I've seen online, I'm going in with low expectations, not really liking the colors based on the pics. Hope it looks better in person. Gold

^ After seeing this comparison pic between all three Voltes Vs, I really want to cancel my order for the 40th anniversary edition now. I wish I could just order the 40th anniversary box though. :/ Just off topic, GX-31V looks best.

Love 31v the most because of its close resemblence to the vintage version. And the debate goes on.......

is it just me or just the way the robots are photographed...but the 40th version seems taller than the 2 previous versions?

It looks like the ankle joints on the 40th anniversary are just extended really far compared to the other two.

Love the new one. Now if only I could find one for a decent price...
BTW, it looks like the rubber tracks are larger!
Now if only they made the stickers from the V available.

If I...... 1. Prefer Anime accurate. 2. Don't care about Grand Dasher mode.(Never appear in anime) 3. Already have Daimos and GX-50 Combatler. (for Color match)
What should I get ? The First or the Last ?

The GX-31 is the one to have if you're going for anime accuracy. If you're more into vintage toys representation, then any of the other two should do. }D

just out of curiosity, why do bandai seems to get anime accuracy right when it comes to modern bots such as macross dx chogokin valks or gundam metal build or gffmc, while they seems to have an issue reproducing super robots in the guise of SOCs or SRCs. not too such of the latter, but i seem to read a lot of complaints from members across the threads.

Good question. I understand that the artists that drew the anime Super Robots mostly sucked back in the 1970. There were so many inconsistencies from one minute to the next, that it is downright ridiculous. I guess they do run their designs through Go Nagai and the other rights owners for their blessing before starting production, but you've seen the results so far...
I don't know, but I'm guessing we'll never find out for sure.

Hmmm, quickly looking at all my Bandai Super Robot figures, I would say the opposite - figure designers totally disregarding source material and doing whatever they think is right.

I'm OK if it can but not necessary Did color of the first version match GX-50 Combatler V ? I think it look darker. Any serious problems to First version, I read epic 164 pages "GX-31 VoltesV" topics long time ago. Look like First version has weak hip and ankle joints
