Nothing like a canceled preorder of a cool toy to ruin your day. That sucks clo. The worst part is the chances of finding another one now for a fair price is extremely low. Amazon.ca preorder with taxes $188.48 Canadian. There is no way I can find one for that price.

A lot of people are getting their pre-orders cancelled... wow.
I really don't understand it. Japanese people have some issues in understanding how things work outside of Japan, don't they? Don't worry, I'm not interested in this Voltes (atm) but... it just baffles me. That they underproduced Voltes, overproducing Mazinger Z instead. That shows lack of preparation from Bandai.

I say give it some time, It wont take them long to realize the gravity of demand for Voltes V. Im hoping they wont disappoint their fans, I mean here's a sure ball sales right? Unfortunately Mazinger didnt deliver much but still Mazinger is an iconic 40th figure but Voltes V is where the money is. So bring it on Bandai

Amazon.ca canceled mine too... I contacted Amazon.ca and made a complaint. They offered me a $35 credit towards my next purchase. It's better then nothing, I guess.

Really doubt all those things you said are worth the US$300-US$400+ scalpers markup on the original GX-31V over this newer 40th-anniversary edition... Ofcousre not,but I was just saying they are different none the less,I wasnt thinking of teh money differences,I should have added that indeed your point is correct on that,my apologies.Maybe Im being unfair as alot of you may love this new Voltes,Its great if its the only one you own just to have one,but If you own either of teh other 2 its really not worth it In my opinion.Im also biased as GX31V is actually one of my top 3 favorite SOC. It's all good. I think most of us (or at least, more than half of us) here will prefer to get the original GX-31V over the newer GX-31V(40th) if the pricing are on equal footing. Just that the scalpers have been jacking the pricing on the original GX-31V to unobtainable levels that a fairer comparison have become moot. I personally like those homages to the old Popy toy of the original GX-31V, and I don't appreciate that Bandai had cut literally cut corners (smaller box, no handle, missing tray cover-art, etc, etc) on the newer GX-31V(40th) while jacking the msrp up and deliberately as well as severely understocking/limiting availability.

OFF TOPIC So i just finished watching Voltes V the story is good and different than Combattler V, but the ending is -1000 in my opinion just like Daimos Awesome story but not so awesome ending. Combattler V is normal comparing to the two but the ending of Combattler V was decent enough in my opinion i think Tadao Nagahama was improving on both show after Combattler V and kept the best for last in Daimos, Voltes V was good and fun to watch but it suffers from Combattler V resemblance not only in Robot but also characters other than that its really cool and by that i watched all of the Robot Romance Trilogy, the best story for me is Daimos, now i need to get both Voltes V & Daimos Alright man, now it's time for you to watch Daltanious Nagahama was involved in that one too. It's the only one I watched from Nagahama as of now, but I liked it. Story was decent, characters were decent, ending had a plot twist. And the robot fights were cool. I need to watch Combattler now. i honestly dont know about Daltanious MF, i watched a glimpses from an episode and i didnt like it much also the design of the robot is hard to look at, no offence to the fans ofcourse its just my personal taste i might watch Albegas again i found a really high definition version sadlly it isnt sub but its dubbed but still good to watch EDITif you want to watch the robot romance trilogy start with Combattler V then Daimos THEN Voltes V trust me if you watch Combattler before Voltes V you wont be able to finish Voltes V because of the similarity
