Hi guys, Kinda new to the die cast toy game. Last toy I had was a Voltes V when I was younger. What are the chances the prices drop for this version of Voltes V? Want to know if I should pull the trigger now or wait for a deal. If you can find one for a reasonable price, definitely grab it without hesitation!

I'm seeing around 320+. Will that be the norm? Thanks for the insight btw.

Thanks for the insight btw. $320+ is kind of high. If you can find it under $300 shipped, I'd say thats reasonable for this rare item. Although Amazon had 6 of them in stock recently (all sold out now), for $223 + shipping. Thats the manufacture retail price, which will be the best price you'll find. I think a member here mentioned they were going to restock again, so I would check Amazon frequently. I hope you find one because it's an amazing chogokin.

Ahh I see. Yeah I read a few pages back and I'm kicking myself for missing that price. I'm hoping the restock for today was accurate. I guess I'll just keep monitoring Amazon and hope for the best. I'm not digging the idea of paying 100 over actual MSRP Thanks, I hope I'm able to find it too. The nostalgia beckons me.

There are rumors that Bandai will re-issue more of Voltes. Rumors could be true, I mean If theyre selling like hot cakes I dont see why Bandai wouldnt cash in Voltes V 2nd run.

Well ya Bandai is a company not Santa's workshop there in to satisfy fans and make money, bottom line like any company you keep feeding the market till it's had enough. Re-paints re-issues whatever are there because they think there's a demand, sometimes there wrong but most times fans will buy what they sell.

Want to know if I should pull the trigger now or wait for a deal. Last time i know Voltes V went on sale was around 2008 with GX31V respect for Voltes V, it went on sale on Angolz. Too bad I did not caught one, was SOLD out as well. 7 years laters 2015 fans are still eager to get a Voltes V even most of us already have the previuos release. Theres is something about Voltes V that fans really really like. For me I was a big fan of the series and the retro Robot design still rocks IMO. Either way you can wait for the 2nd run but I bet theyll jack the price a bit, If fans wouldnt bit on the price then wait for it to drop. But then again NO one knows If theyll even create a 2nd run or not? Think it over either way youll never regret having this Voltes V in your collection. (I just paid for mine eyes shut hitting the enter button! lol)

Well I'm not expecting it to go on sale per say. More like go closer to MSRP. The price is being jacked right now because of low supply and high demand. A second run would alleviate that but you're right who knows if that's even in the cards. Either way I guess I may just have to bite the bullet.

I remembered i bought from a subsequent batch, at a very resonable price, however, i am not sure if its a reissue or the retailers managed to dig out extra stock stash in some warehouse.

The Respect version was never given a second run. I missed that one and kick myself daily for it. I would not expect this one will be issued again either. Well ya Bandai is a company not Santa's workshop there in to satisfy fans and make money, bottom line like any company you keep feeding the market till it's had enough. Hehe, most important thing I learned from this hobby is "Never say never... to reissues". All you need is a little bit of patience really, that is IF you're still collecting by the time it gets reissued
