Does anyone here have a bit of looseness on their the waist of voltes? Mine seems to have some play, I can rock it a bit forward and backward. on the new one? if so proves my theory the so called tighter joints is BS,how could the same mold be tighter ..?unless the newness factor. Yep it's my 40th anniversary version.

OK I knew it..would have been the only reason I'd have gotten the new one..but I knew there was no way they fixed or retooled the hips.Bandai does not improve old sculpts..or even reinvent old ones!! Think about it guys there never has been an improved or updated robot in the SOC line only repaints. .The only redo of any SR was the SRC SKL that's it!! Just because I'll have to again give CMs credit they put out improved GaoGaigar..Sorely Sorely Sorely needed is an improved DX with better elbows. But banda I didn't do it when Maz came out even with a flurry of complaints..so why would they retool Voltes hips...? If theydid it would have been heavily advertised.

Whoa! Where did you hear that? Wishful thinking. No official word on re-release. Don't hold your breath.

The gx31 has issues on the ankles and thigh joints that was fixed with the gx31v.

Bandai re-did the ankles and hip joints for GX-31V, it was less a re-engineer and more them adjusting the manufacturing process. It's like what they did for the SRC GGG, just changed the way it was built and made it better.

I'm sorry for the confusion I just remembered that the real issue with the older one was that it had loose legs so I also mentioned it. We don't really know if Bandai really did re engineer the legs but I've heard from other collectors that it was improved over the gx31 but I'm not gonna risk making it loose with posing it too much.

Bandai re-did the ankles and hip joints for GX-31V, it was less a re-engineer and more them adjusting the manufacturing process. It's like what they did for the SRC GGG, just changed the way it was built and made it better. Chen we are talking about the 40th ann.version one not 31V...with all due respect where did you here that?I have 2of 31 and 2 of 31V and the joints are ALL exactly the same on all 4,do you know the exact manufacturing process,or recall where you read or got this info?Because all Ive heard ever is rumours on boards and no facts, for me the proof is in the pudding, and I see no difference, mine are all fine, and all alike.Others a floppy mess,it depends on luck as usual with those... See this even dates back to the 2 first versions according to your post..way back we came to teh conclusion here NO changes were made from 31 to 31V..AND NOW again..we are hearing there have been changes from 31V to 40th Ann.!!..So far I know have heard the joints on Voltes were changed twice, and have seen no evidence of any change! It depends on your own toy.. Its like this..someone hopes they will be tighter and maybe hears or misundertands a photo Bandi puts out like the height differences with Voltes for one, then someone gets the idea they will be through wishful thinking, then they post they heard they were made tighter, then it becomes fact and its posted as a fact..then they get theirs and since its a new toy "think" its tighter, because new toys generally are,and it becomes "Bandai fixed the joints"Its like the game telephone,by teh time teh last guy gets the info its completely different and wrong. If we think about it how could the way its put together be different?the parts are all the same exactly, besides tightening a screw tighter what could be different? The sum of the parts makes the final outcome, unless something is made differently the will all be alike,I see no even subtle difference. If indeed it was adjusting the process or QC what could possibly have changed to make joints tighter? More paint?Tightening parts by hand? even if..teh QC would still be different per each toy..unless they used NEW screws,Joints, hinges etc..there is no proof besides speculating on ones own experience, which with these toys is different from one rebiew to the next. Again PLEASE if ther is concrete evidence of this written or shown anywhere please show me!!Also wasnt the GGG fixed with new better parts?

Ok guys listen..none of mine including the 4 early ones have floppy waist joints,so this all depends on luck, what Im saying is its HIGHLY unlikely ANY Voltes including the new one has improved hips.Say you got a floppy 31 then your 31V hips were tighter, does not mean they were fixed, some 31 are tighter!just like if you got the new one and hips are tighter doesnt mean its fixed either. It is different to each individual toy.Look at all 3 they ALL have teh SAME exact parts,so how could anything be fixed? This is what im saying. They are all the same.Tight today could mean loose tomorrow, new toys tend to be tighter, some tend to be loose new, nothing has been fixed or improved its the same damn toy,31,31V and 40th ALL THE SAME besides colors. Just like R doesnt mean IMPROVED!! it just means repaint.Bandai does not improve anything.GX-01 Mazingers didnt change besides the face and the color,Daitarn didnt change{actually the new one has worse joints on mine!},Voltes never changed,AND REISSUES,it makes me laugh when people expect improvements on re-issues,WHY would they bother??Its the same mold they are milking,Bandai does not improve toys 99 out of 100 times. Show me a new screw or hinge and ill believe Voltes was improved BUT there are none,so it hasnt.

Bro, the GX-01 is different from the GX-01R, same with the GX-02 and GX-02R. They actually changed a lot of thing from one to the other. After that, I don't know if any "R" version really has improvements/changes other than the color. }D
