From Wikipedia..... In 1970, Nissin formed the subsidiary Nissin Foods (USA) Co. Inc, to sell instant noodles in the United States. Nissin recognized that the bowls traditionally used to package instant noodles in Asia were not common in the U.S, so they used the paper cup. The product was known as Cup O' Noodles in the United States until 1993.

For those of you who recently purchased this from Amiami is there a particular reason you chose Amiami over NY? Seems like NY was 6-7,000 Yen cheaper than Amiami.

I totally missed that ! I just saw the 27000 price tag !! I remember at one point amiami marked gx31 V 40 as low as 17000 yen for like 10 minutes ... I couldn't believe my eyes ! I put one in basket and tried to check out but it was gone!!

I'm a newbie here. I was wondering what's the difference by ordering from Japanese online stores and Amazon? I see Amazon is selling the same product. Thank you!
