How come the 1/60 VF-0D is so much bigger than the VF-1? They should be same scale right?

How come the 1/60 VF-0D is so much bigger than the VF-1? They should be same scale right? They're the same scale, but in the real world the VF-0 is a bigger jet than the VF-1, so to scale it's a larger toy as well. The VF-1's are smaller than just about every other Macross fighter made since, in fact.

They are in scale but the VF-0 was a prototype. Hell it used normal turbofan engines to power the whole thing that's why it was much bigger than the VF-1. The VF-1 i believe was nuclear.

Even the VF-25 was much bigger than the VF-1 which was the smallest Variable Fighter but still the most iconic.

for those that haven't watched it (or haven't followed the 0D-thread over at MWF), yet, here's vf5SS' video-review of the Arcadia VF-0D 1/60 for CDX...
First video-review of it (english and/or non-english), I reckon.

I know the color is a prime contention for a lot of folks but after watching vf5ss' video review I'm actually really curious about this guy now. The added improvements look intriguing and while Bandai has stepped up their game on macross birds, its always good to have a contender like arcadia (yamato) in the running to keep improving the toy engineering approaches these companies take.
