Well, that's a pleasant surprise!

o I got the last of the three in today. I really love these guys. More than I was expecting. Sadly I think Eagle Robo (leader One) is the weakest of the bunch. Very bland color scheme. Finicky transformation. Kind of spindly robot that stands oddly due to tail fins.
Battle Robo is far and away the standout of the three. Just completely fun.
Rod Drill (Really? That's what they went with? It sounds like a 70's male porn star? You can even mentally picture the beefy mustache and bad man perm each time you say it. Could the Tonka GoBots name actually be better? ... Screw Head! So 80's porn star then? Progress!) Anyway he is a really fun little bot as well. I love how expressive he is for his size. I also love how his color scheme so shifts seemlessly in transformation.
I can't wait to get Bike Robo/Cykill.

It's amazing how much just a little communication can do to satisfy your customers. Isn't it. It also means they value us as their customers and really do care to what's going-on.

Is it just me or does the next batch of Machine Robo look like they're made of cheaper plastic?

I think turbo will be the only one I get from the next wave. The mixer truck is tempting though. It will go on my standby list.

Saw all the new figures at tfcon. When I get home I'll post pics. Certainly on of my highlights of the whole event. The train boy is a must buy. They say it will be out next year.

I had the chance to have a breakfast with these (and touch them a lot ) haha. They are incredible. This whole line will be a success. I posted some photos on chogoking FB page. Turbo, the red car is so heavy. Only head and arms are plastic. Hood, windshield and legs are diecast. The semi truck is so huge. The whole line up will be interesting with different size. Can't wait to see their take on Monstros combiner

Looks like more figures from the original line made it to the cartoon that I expected! I want to see the trainrobo next. Although it wasn't my figure, the original machine robo toy was what introduced me to the whole realm of (Japanese) robot toys!

I talked with the producer of this toy line. The first wave of 4 was designed time ago. The take on the new waves is more "improved". Transformations are crazy. The train robot is incredible: bot mode is far from the altmode. I didn't push the articulations on the protos to avoid breaking them, But for sure, they will be highly poseable.

I can't wait to see how the new train robo transforms! The original one transforms just by folding the figure in half, then pressing the arms in.
