The original version!
Wonder if it's simply a reprint, of they changed the waist part.

I just noticed the description has:
Now with strengthened joints! And more die-cast!!
Anyone know more details on the joints and die-cast? I've never bought any v2 Sentinels, but they did improve the waist on the Black Shin Getter 1 right?

Even with shipping it's a deal!
Normally FedEx you will have to pay taxes, unless they declare a lower value

if they truly fix the waist issue, then i will consider this as a legit Mazinkaiser
more diecast is not always a good thing also we are talking about Riobot here
but even with that, $300 is a bit high for what you are getting

I've never bought any v2 Sentinels, but they did improve the waist on the Black Shin Getter 1 right? Big reason I bough Black Shin instead of Red….Black Shin has a solid waist. The only thing I hate about the figure is cheap PVC Sentinel used. Too soft…the spikes on his fist are all… “BENDY!”

I suspect this 'more diecast' would be around the thigh area. Riobot Mazinkaiser not only had weak waist joints, but also was not very stable standing with its Scrander attached. Hagane Works version solved this problem by reducing the weight on upper body using plastic instead of diecast, and going diecast for the thighs adding more weights to the bottom, which enabled it to stand by itself with Scrander attached. Also Riobot was considerably lighter than the SOC counterpart (370g vs 450g), so this added diecast will make this as hefty as SOC which of course is a good thing too =)

Sadly yeah. I wish it’d come out this year. It’d make my logistics lot easier.
I should really wait for the actual release of this Kaiser but it sure sounds like It will have real improvements and maybe they are taking time to do it right. And Thankful they kept the price fair.
a BIG prop and respect to Sentinel for going the extra miles. Thank you Sentinel Team Riobot! Well done.

Do we have a comparison from the old release? Thanks

Honestly, I wouldn't expect a huge update on the joints improvement. They will be better, but probably not a lot better. Like what they did to Dancouga shoulders, went out of their way to mention they used diecast for the new shoulder joints, turn out only one part of it got changed to diecast, with the remaining 1-2 piece of that same joint still remain as plastic. And there were breakage reports (but very few) that the diecast shoulder joints still breaks (on the plastic they didn't replace).
But with that said, my Mazinkaiser doesn't have much joint issue or breakage. Improvement is always welcome, and as long as you pose your figure carefully, it should be just fine.
