At that price it is worth it. I may get one.

I don't know. That sounds like it's way below cost. I don't know a lot about BBTS but I remember the guy who got Posiedon for next to nothing due to a sale mistake and they honored it. If this is a mistake then it's probably going to be really good for hype for the item. Although I wonder how many people will still need one if we're all snapping them up!

"Hurry up! Cmon! Herman's gettin a beatin' , let's go watch!" -old Bill Cosby routine
This feels like something I want to get some popcorn ready to watch what happens. LOL
I'm sure there's been a few other big pricing blunders for niche items like the Poisiden posted above, but I don't order much new stuff from the popular vendors, so I don't remember. Anyone remember some past specific screw ups that let folks make out like bandits?

I do recall some third party transformers figures that I pre-ordered at really low prices, and BBTS did honor those prices even after they corrected them on their system. This was about 3-4 years ago.
I am not that much of a Star Wars fan, but I pre-ordered one because the offer is too hard to pass.

If it's a typo, there's more than one on the page... It gives a "list price" of $79.99... These may be slightly sub standard, down towards the bottom of the page it lists the boxes, I think it was, as 80% mint.

From BBTS:
This item is in Standard Grade Condition: The item is brand new, in mint condition, and sealed inside its packaging. Packaging condition is verified to be 80% mint (C8) or better. Standard Grade items are suitable to display in the package, or to open.

I was on the fence on this, but since it's about $200 less than I figured it would be...what the hell. I grabbed one.

In case you guys have not noticed, BBTS claims that all preorders for the Boba Fett jumbo are sold out. And the release date was moved from March to Mid 2015.
Also the listing is no longer available on their website; unless you click on the link that I provided on page 1.

Here's to hoping that everything runs smoothly!
I guess the delay will mean that I have time to get my display up and running before he arrives!

Did anyone else get the email from BBTS on the snafu on the pre-order for this and they are now going to "re-adjust" the price for this guy just now?

Yep. Will be changing my number of pre-orders most likely
Greetings,
We have been notified by Funko that the suggested $80 MSRP for the FNK12547 Star Wars Super Shogun 24" Boba Fett was incorrect on the 2015 price sheet they provided to us. The actual MSRP is predicted to be around three times the $69.99 preorder price we had on our listing. Due to this pricing error, we will need to adjust the price on all preorders once the official pricing is announced by Funko.
We understand the frustration surrounding these types of changes and do what we can to minimize the impact to our customers. We have decided to give a yet-to-be-determined special discount off of the actual list price (which will already be lower than Funko's MSRP) to everyone affected by this price increase, once we have the official pricing from Funko. Since we do not yet know what the new price or special discount will be, we will keep you informed as we learn more.
Of course you can always cancel your preorder at any time by logging in to your BBTS account and changing the preorder quantity to zero for this item. If you have any questions regarding this price change, or about cancelling a preorder, please contact the BBTS Customer Care Team via service@bigbadtoystore.com or by calling our Customer Care Hotline (888) 980-2287
We truly appreciate your understanding and continued business.
Sincerely,
BBTS Customer Care

I'm not wholly surprised by this but I am a little disappointed! I'm going to wait and see what the price changes to before I mess with my order, it is only one anyway and a couple months to prepare makes it a little easier.

Yes, I got that e-mail too and got kind of pissed. In any case, I will wait and see what the new price will be with the discount.

I can't get upset, as it was known in advance that the price was too good to be true. I'll stick with the preorder, since still being given preferred pricing, how is it likely to be beat?
Waited a few years for it already, no rush now.

Don't think it was BBTS fault, they were given the wrong information too. I wouldn't feel too entitled to a big discount because "they messed up". It happens and this time it's not their fault.
