Hey guys, Not usually one for the self promotion thing but I made a review of the Solar Saver and figure I would share some pictures. Not only is this toy fantastic and really deserves way more attention, but I think it’s an important moment for Chinese toy history. You can check it out here: goo.gl/yIiRuk Solar Saver-01 by siningy, on Flickr Solar Saver-06 by siningy, on Flickr Solar Saver-35 by siningy, on Flickr Solar Saver-46 by siningy, on Flickr Solar Saver-41 by siningy, on Flickr Solar Saver-52 by siningy, on Flickr Solar Saver-53 by siningy, on Flickr Solar Saver-55 by siningy, on Flickr

Hi, I just want to say that I've seen you post a lot of photos on this forum (and also on Rangerboard), and every time I am amazed at how nice they always look. My internet is being slow right now but I look forward to reading your review that you linked.

Good catch, gogglev.... Yes, lately many videos such as episodes and even short clips are being taken offline. We're seeing the tip of the iceberg... The copyright owners are sending Take-Down notices (DMCA) to social media sites and torrent sites demanding that copyright-infringed content be removed. If you visit news sites such as TorrentFreak you'll see all sorts of news reports of sites getting shut down lately. Since December, KickassTorrents has removed over 50,000 torrents for DMCA violations. PirateBay has been up, and shut down again, lately like crazy! The movie industry is coming down really hard on social media sites and such. Looks like your photos up there in the first post were removed from flickr. At YouTube, I recently received a notice from Earache Records because I used a brief sample of Morbid Angel's "Blood Enthroned" in one of my CG Mazinger trailer videos. They couldn't monetize my video, but they allowed me to keep my video up because I listed them in the music credits at the end of the video. I've had to remove a few other videos from my YouTube profile, as well as a couple anime shows from torrent sites, because they were in violation of the DMCA. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Millennium_Copyright_Act zozo-mag

Whoops, that was actually my fault. Flickr has been uploading weird so I deleted and reuploaded the album which broke the links.

Why is it that Sir Toys and other Chinese retailers insist in selling toys without their packaging?
I mean, the packaging is part of the toy. And I am the one paying for shipping anyway. Unless they want to save the extra money for themselves.

nikodiablo: thanks for the heads up wondering as well why the box isn't included. The price is good but what assurance does the buyer have of a getting an undamaged item? Its an extra layer of protection and assures us that its the official toy.

Unless they want to save the extra money for themselves. Here is there reason sirtoys.com/toys.php?content=5&t=Recycling.htmlBut the real reason is that they save on shipping. I don't know how much they charge but it's pretty safe to say whatever they charge the customer, most of the time, they pocket it. How is it that I can buy iPhone case for .98 cents with free shipping? Cause they ship things in the bulk crates that takes like 2 months and they have deals with the US postal service which deliver their packages for pennies.n

Well, if you want, you can ask them to ship your toy with the box. It's just that they claim it's environmentally better (and cheaper) that way.

Yea, sirtoys obviously just wants to save money. The Space Deleter packaging is actually pretty environmentally friendly, cardboard box and cardboard tray so not of a lot of plastic trash to dispose of. These toys actually remind me a lot of the chinese cell phone market. In a few short years, they've gone from cheap copycats to creating phones that can stand on equal footing on the international market with the likes of Apple and Samsung. Give China a few more years and I'm sure the number of quality toy lines coming out of the country will increase substantially.

The guys in the TFW forums frequently order KO TFs from Sirtoys. The guy who did the video review, Ben, also got his from Sirtoys, so they seem to be legit.
The other way you can get this is through Taobao.

I bought mine on taobao, so I don't have experience with sirtoys but I've heard a lot of good things about them so I doubt there will any issues with them. You can also use a proxy service if you can figure out how to navigate taobao.
