Great if you're in the US. Once again, us up north get screwed (and I'm not even considering the sh*tty exchange rate here) :
BBTS shipping to Canada :
Air Mail : $103.69 USPS Express Mail : $139.49
(+ custom fees and taxes on arrival)
Shipping from Amazon Marketplace :
$18.43 + $73.13 import fee deposit
The figure is $80 more expensive at Amazon.com, so it's not really a better deal, but the difference in shipping fees here is just sickening. I usually get a near full refund of the import fee deposit when I order figures from Amazon US, even when they cost well over the $60 non-taxable value. But even if I didn't, BBTS's quotes don't even include such a deposit : it's all for shipping and handling.

^^^ In California, mine came out to $12 only for Saver shipping (no taxes).

Indeed wow! For an Italian like myself it's really difficult to understand something like that.
10 years ago I had an accident while skiing: helicopter ambulance ride to the nearest hospital, then they operated on my knee, surgical cast, they gave me some medicines and crutches. Total cost... ZERO.

wow thats insane, and i thought the medical fees in my country is "i prefer to die than pay" lol
i honestly think that no one should pay his life saving to save his life, the medical field is waaay advance than it was before so things should be easier to cure and to do

Since we are talking medecine here, yesterday I pass 12h at the emergency here in Canada, Quebec. Nothing major, a "rock" in the kidney.
12h of waiting, that is long, so it's far from perfect as a medical plan, but it cost me nothing. And today I go for the big scan, and cost will be 0$.
Sure I pay 15% tax on everything, and my salary around 40% is given to cover all those social program.
The downside of this is that many people go see a doctor for no good reason.
But in the end I think I prefer that than paying for a cure....
Stay safe all of you! Health is more precious than robot!

$399 is a great price! but it is also bad, and if the dx great mazinger didn't sell too well to get discounted, then the chances for a dx grendizer any time soon are greatly diminished.

The global economy is bad, so creating premium product, especially a toy line, is a big guess for company.
For example, at 400$ US, it around 540$ CDN.
That is a week salary here in Canada, once tax are paid to government, for a medium working class worker.
Not many people can budget to buy one.

yes but now it looks like all these collector grade toys are always in the price range of $200 and above. look at the new soc figures coming soon, with the exception of the gx70 mazinger z, the others are near the $300 range and they still sell. i think the dx great mazinger didn't sell as well as the dx mazinger z, and that's why it has been discounted all over. and that is not good news to bandai, which may then not do another dx figure for a while.

I really hope they do a Grendizer before they pull the plug on the line. I hope they made enough money to do more than break even on cost.

me too! i really want a dx grendizer! can you imagine how much he will cost if bandai decides to make all the spazers? i think easily about $800 to $1000!

Yes I hope too.
There will always be a market for premium product, but if they produce less the cost will be higher, which might result in less sell.
Most of the time it might just be a bad timing, people don't have time to spare for a toy.

yeah with the global economy been this bad, its hard to keep up in this hobby, not to mention other things
back to topic the figure still didn't complete 1 year its about 10 months old, so this kind of prices is normal thing to see give it sometime and it will be just like his big brother lol, also we still didn't get the great booster, so IF they release it the price will go up even more
one of friends told me that the DX Mazinger z is been sold in his country for $1300! and if you are a hard core fan who want to get the Jet Scrander set, thats will cost you a cool $500 so the total will be $1800, thank god i got it when they release it, i really cant see me paying this kinda of money on 1 figure

Sorry can't help you, as mine is still in the box. Didn't get the time to figure where to display it.
Personnaly I would display it in a Detolf case for the figure itself, I think it fits.
