Hi Guys,
What is the most valuable modern Macross/Robotech toy, value mostly due to appreciation?
Just curious.

Up until the recent re-release was announced, it probably would have been the Yamato VF-4G. Now I'm not sure.

Yow...I was pretty devoted to buying the Yammy Valks up until their demise. They aren't cheap to start with (esp. the 1/48s) and so, the current scalping prices are not a great representation either since who knows if anyone is crazy enough to pay for the asking price on eBay...
I know the Low-Vis and weathering versions are kinda $$$...

Possibly the Yamato 1/2000 SDF-1 Macross, followed by the Yammie 1/60 Regult kit. However, both were a very very expensive extremely-limited unpainted kits.
Maybe toywise, the Yamato 1/3000 SDF-1. It's a proper toy than the 1/2000 and it was painted and stuff.
The VF-4G had come down from stratospheric scalper-pricing due to the impending re-release by Arcadia.
There is no robotech-branded stuff that is worth more than US$0.10...

I know the Low-Vis and weathering versions are kinda $$$... When I was heavy into Macross and bought nothing but 1/48's I was always hunting for the Low Vis version 1 and weathering version. Also the stealth boxed set was $$ too. Good memories.

Man, it does bring back memories of probably my favourite Japanese vendor: Amenbo. Any of you peeps remember them...? I had a great relationship with Aki Yoshida and Shin Watanabe...both really came through in getting me anything (including show exclusives) and only shipped when I was ready (by confirming) with a larger parcel. And then one day, they said they were upgrading their site which never happened and then, disappeared.
