I have been waiting for people to start posting their wacky Cyborg creations. I guess I will start a thread and see if anyone else chimes in. I have been a customizer of 12" figures for quite some time. Generally it's a lot of work and it is often thought of as sacrilege by the mint in the box purist collectors. I will say that customizers of Megos, GI Joe, Dragon, Barbie, CyGirl, CoolGirl, etc. don't know what they are missing with the Cyborg toyline. Here are a couple photos to start things rolling. I generally do a lot of cannibalizing and have hired many a seamstress over the years to get things done right. I can definitely try and get you in touch with the clothing makers, if you have any interest in that sorta thing. If anyone has any cool ideas or photos, please submit them. Okay let's start things off: With so much talk about PPFM fashion figures, I wondered what PPFM would look like with more of an attitude: On the more Goth side, here is the Dokuro Queen Has anyone else made any custom Cyborg creations? - Guy

Just to give credit where credit is due, the Corset on the dokuro queen was made by maria ines ocampo I thought I'd add another photo of my customs. My guess is that nobody even remembers the 1970's show that the uniforms are from. The Uniforms were all custom made one of a kind suits by Dave McCormick. But I fear that Dave and I are the only ones who remember the show. Can somebody prove me wrong?

Aside from just dressing up the cyborgs in the goofy costumes, I actually do work on custom Cyborg creations. I didn't want to just slap on a nea head and call it a day. Using those Special Cyborg heads you find weekly on Yahoo Japan and mixing in vintage Takara parts, I have tried to create my own cyborg characters to fit with the original heads and unusual head colors. Here are some CyborgWarriors: Here are a pair of AngelBorgs: If anyone has any spare parts, or ideas on how to add to cyborg customizing please let me know. - Guy

I believe those are Space 1999 costumes! I used to have the mego figures. Probably Gerry Anderson's finest series, at least the most grown up.
I don't have any cool customs, Guy, but I'll be posting more whacky photostories when I'm back online properly. My ailing computer won't even let me download photos from the camera now so there's no point taking 'em.
More delays with getting my computer sorted... gosh, it's getting me down. I miss this forum! Soon, however, Hypnotator will return in force.
That other thread... I still prefer the original Satan King. Here's hoping Tkara do him as "Kaijin Collection No.2"

Until I take some more photos, I only have pix taken of my skull brain zombie cyborgs. I kinda started a zombie invasion of sorts. - Guy

I love the custom Invaders. Made with KWIIs and vinyl Invaders, presumably? You always have something new to envy! No customs from me, I'm afraid. I can only afford to buy each item once and I wouldn't dare to butcher them. I'll be posting more silly dress-ups and photostories, though... soon... so soon...

Seeing as there have not been many posts, I will dust off some Vintage Japanese Cyborg custom work from the archives. The Japanese are known for AMAZING custom work. I will dig out a little of everything. Before the days of Limited edition Vinyl cyborg heads, Japanese collectors made their own cyborg creations. With a bit of transparent paint, a Phillips screwdriver and an x-acto knife, you can yield amazing results! You may remember the Walder cycle. The same person who created this also created blue android figures: When the NHC body first hit the scene, I rememebr seeing loads of photos of the Guy Gao Gar figures minus the head. While everone loved the body, the head was the first to go and was immediately replaced with anything cyborg collectors could find lying around. While none of us probably have a few spare android figures lying around to customize, the ideas are still cool. The reason there are so many limited edition outfits today is because of custom work like you see below: Here you see a vinyl kit cut to a “Subform” like status and worn by a cyborg. This Customizer actually used Liquid silicone (taking up to 1 month to dry!) to mold and create his own transparent body armor and heads. Below is the completed outfit:

1 month to dry?!! Jesus, did his whole family die of air poisoning in the meantime? Very cool work from what I can see, but bigger closeups would be invaluable.
