I can't see why they wouldn't. I've heard rumblings of an April reissue. Wouldn't surprise me if it were true. i guess they are ready for the April fools day for those who didn't get one i highly suggest getting it now

I can't see why they wouldn't. I've heard rumblings of an April reissue. Wouldn't surprise me if it were true. I hope so. I would love to get this guy before it goes too high in price. Though the SoC Gaogaigar has just now hit that $320+ range. GaoGaiGar had a re-issue a little over a year ago. It's not always 10 years. Heck I think I saw a planned Tryder reissue mentioned on that Italian Gokin site. I suspect we will see a second wave of Voltron hit the streets in late April or May. They probably sent another factory run through once Daizyujin was finished. There seems a little too much demand for them to just walk away from it or leave it on the table. They have a low risk of overproducing on this one. Besides it sold out so fast the tooling is likely paid for already. Also for the record, more Voltron at this point would technically not be a "re-issue". While it currently appears to be sold out at the factory, it is not discontinued product. They simply put through another production run and send another wave of supply into the distribution channel. Re-issues are when they bring back a discontinued product that is no longer in the active catalog.

Too bad the voltron 2nd release will coincide with Daizyujin, I wish they would've given us time to save up some cash. 😞

It would be great if they have more on a boat incoming, or will be doing another run. it's an excellent piece. But don't bet too much on that basket just yet.
I'm sure if there's another run, or another batch coming, you will see it all over the news, it will be posted on their official website just like what they normally do. Then there's the supposed 'rumor' with no reliable source. is it just some say, they say, etc? or are we taking about the anime poko ? If it's animepoko, it's even worse than no reliable source , it's from a website that don't deliver and is probably just extending the date as long as possible for paypal dispute cut off date.( 180 days) If there's a 2nd wave coming in April, retailers would know by now, and preorders will open, who doesn't want advance sales.

Pre-Orders generally require a fixed release date. Which repops don't get. They go out as they get produced. Right now GX-71 is largely Sold Out at the Factory, but it isn't Discontinued. It seems a little fuzzy on whether or not Bandai is still taking orders with an anticipated delivery date? Generally you want product in the market for a certain time span. If you sell out this fast you do the math and where viable produce another run. The major exceptions is if you don't think there is enough demand remaining to sell through another production run, or if you already have what would be considered a "replacement product" deep into the pipeline. Normally I would think that doing another production run would be a no brainer and a high priority with Voltron. The original remains Bandai's best ever selling die cast. This one seems to be well on its way for top selling SOC. The only problem I see is Daizyujin. The Megazord IS theoretically a "Replacement Product" as it targets much the same group or niche as Voltron. Does its looming release alter Bandai's calculations regarding more GX-71? Do they risk cannibalizing each other as similar robots hitting similar nostalgia points and similar high price points? My gut says that GX-71 and GX-72 were made back to back in the same factory. So an additional run of GX-71 likely could not be scheduled until GX-72 cleared the production lines. I think Bandai probably put another order for more GX-71 in as soon as the Megazord was clear. That would line up with the timing we see regarding GX-72's release and the repop or backorder rumors for GX-71. I also think that if Bandai is going to overproduce anything it will be GX-71. That is really their direct entry piece for their North American expansion with Bluefin. That's the one they will want to flood the market with a bit. And right now the North American region is where it is scarce. They want GX-71 sitting on shelves awhile because it is an entry point. It is the hot new gateway drug to the rest of their product. It probably is challenging GX-01 for the record for "First time SOC buyers" and seems to be causing an awful lot of conversion of those first timers to purchasers of, not simply additional SOC product, but additional upper tier SOC product. The most common second purchase following Voltron seems to be GaoGaiGar. This makes Voltron a Gokin Killer App if you will. A reason to buy in. To my eye it would be worth taking on some extra risk of increased or overstocked inventory. Especially since the fast sellout of the first run likely paid off the tooling costs.

Add in some firing missles opening ear head back and shoulder weapons all chrome joints chrome waist white plastic, white paint, white wing hinges and blacked out thighs and a bigger picture window popy reminescent box and they wont need to worry bout over stock. How rad would that be to have this on shelves on a popy box ar a godaikin box. Oohh im salavating. My life wpuld be fulfilled and i would walk around with a never ending smile. Wouldn't that be great if a toy or something you really love came out it was so awesome an overpowering to you that for the rest of your life nothing fazed you you could find out dog just died cat would run over by a bus you lost your home your wife and your parakeet and it didn't matter you're still there smiling it in one ear out the other never to think about it again all you can think about is how happy you are the Voltron is here in a japanese popy box with chrome joints and tails.i think that andy samberg did a song about this. Doing something in his pants he did it in his pants did it in his pants. Yeah something like that

Bigbadtoystore.com only now has substandard conditions available.
If I knew this was going to sell out relatively quickly, would have done better to save for one last year.

I think this is the fastest we have ever seen a broad large run SOC product sell out or become hard to get. Some of the more niche subjects might be "blink and you miss them" but nothing quite like this.
