No Blazing Sword Effect? That's disappointing. However everything else is really nice. Need to buy two of these. They needed something to release as an upgrade pack as mail order only so we can pay almost was much for it as the Voltron himself. |

not gonna lie, but bandai just made a straight up ripoff of the KoB mold, the proportions alone looks kinda similar specially the thigh area and the hip joint. im really dissapointed with bandai that they where unable to make an anime accurate rendition of voltron for there SoC but a copy paste of the KoB mold with some retooling to make it look sort of close to it.
im afraid im gonna have to skip it, specially since its price for $300 which i really don't see the work for it. i know some of you guys like it but for me, this is giving me the straight up vibe of the KoB mold than an actual new mold.
maybe this was wep's plan all along....dammit...

I knew he was gonna have open mouth face lol! Everybody harps on about the KOB but the KOB to me is meh. Its great no doubt but I hate the face and colors are dull but its not what im looking for in a golion. Bandai could have surely done some things differently with this SOC but Im OK with how it is. I love that the lions backs can arch. Hoping the lion heads could detach. Would be cool to see little cockpit lids in the heads.
A hollow statue of a lion would have been cool to wrap around Black Lion lol. Anyways Im excited for this and will happy fork over my money for it. Im still wondering why the different leg design on the red and blue lion...

BTW...doesnt the yellow bar on red lion and that red square on the green lion look like it could be pushed in? The plot thickens

Disappointed. It looks good, but they could have done so much better. I don't know how I'll react if Bandai ends up including anime-accurate parts and the Blazing Sword effect in a Tamashii Web exclusive set... the price is high i thought it will be like $250ish 32400 yen probably includes taxes. If you take 8% off that price, it's exactly 30000 yen : the price that was quoted in an article someone linked to in this thread. (Sorry, too lazy to look for it.  I think it was from an Italian site.) 30000 is just a bit less than 285 USD. Factor in the usual rebate from the big online gokin crack dealers (HLJ, AmiAmi, etc.) and there are good chances it will be close to, if not less than 250 USD. |

If so, hopefully it'll be a bit cheaper than importing...

yes almost every Voltron can turn his head left and right, up and down EXACTLY they just make it chubbier, also took couple of ideas from KOB the double swords and the angry face, and that's shows how good the KOB is, unless Bandai give those Ideas to MT to shake WEP and let them give that license i guess the only advantage the SOC got over the KOB is its more anime accurate, and i hope they give it similar articulation to the KOB, if MT can do it i dont see any reason why Bandai cant last thing loving the SOC doesn't mean hating the KOB and Loving the KOB doesn't mean Hating the SOC they are both good looking and well made figures lets wait to the live photos from they guys |

Isn't this a design from 5 years ago that Bandai just dusted off when the license became available? People have seen or known of the prototype for years. Years before anyone had even heard of MadToys. I don't know what it is with the Mad Toys KoB fanboys. Dear lord. Bandai ripped off the design, Toynami ripped off the design. Look guys, it's a Bootleg. That's all it has ever been. A nice stylized bootleg that in no way matches any of the animation or designs from any show. Nobody is ripping them off. Quite frankly multi million or billion dollar industries really do not care about the couple of hundred bootleg pieces that they produced. The KoB is a nice gokin. if you bought one and are happy with it that's great. enjoy it. But it has nothing to do with any other product. It is not some all important work of art. It is not influencing anything. |

I think This SOC looks great , and I have a feeling that lions feet will be removable can't wait to get it... and the price for nowadays is reasonable. BTW , which other stores have it for preorder now? |
