Ive always been interested in gx-68 and heard it's one of bandai's best. The gx-72 I gotta say man if your expecting it to be like the gx-71, your going to be disappointed. It's a great piece and the best megazord/daizyujin we are gonna get, but it wasn't built with the love gx-71 had. It's hard to explain but you'll have to see for yourself to understand lol.

I've heard that the Megazord is a step down from Voltron, so I think my expectations should be ready. It just had as big an impact on my youth as Voltron, so I should go ahead and have one in my collection. GGG was also the first mecha show I got into when I started watching anime as a hobby, so he's a must.

GGG was also the first mecha show I got into when I started watching anime as a hobby, so he's a must. Golion (Voltron) will destroy your expectations of what the Megazord could of been. In a way I felt Bandai almost seems to have rushed the Megazord out, it could've been a lot more than what was given I'll just leave it at that. Gaogaigar is another must if you are curious of what Bandai is really capable of if they put effort into a release. (I'm still in awe at how the Dairugger XV came out, was sort of expecting less articulation than what I'm seeing..). |

From what I can recall, Dairugger was intended to air first but they didn't receive the right set of series from Japan. They sent GoLion to WP first so it ended getting aired ahead of the rest. Correct me if I'm wrong here. |

Wait a minute ..i though originally, long a long ago far afar away~ WEP really wanted Dalt as a Voltron to begin with, but the translation was lost and they got Lion instead....
So i thought to include "the OG Voltron, Daltanious" in Voltron bros!

Yes, Daltanious was supposed to be Lion Force Voltron. And Bleah is correct - Vehicle Force was to air first, but the tapes didn't arrive in time. And you've got to think if VV aired 1st, followed by Albegas with GoLion as the FINALE we could have had an entire ERA of super robots in the States during the mid '80s. But we've got VOLTRON as our representation, and that's good enough for me.... |

I don’t know about you guys - but I think Voltron IIs box art is awesome! I never saw this Voltron as a kid, but as an adult I love Albegas. I just wish Bandai did a better engineering job on the robots. They could have solved all of the problems that plague these robots by making the waist connections that hold the die cast legs - die cast as well!   the code gb joyce |

But can only hope they learned and fix all the obvious mistake from the past and all the previous Albegas releases from different companies..........

Honestly, I never knew of Voltron II. I always thought it was just the lions and vehicles since I was a kid. I only found out about it last year when GX-71 was reissued.

this is a very informative posts thanks guys i found it funny how some of us watched some of the shows and some watched all, i want to share with you as well in here we got Golion first it was the WEP version and it was EPIC for us as kids, yet sadly not alot of people remember the show then we got Albegas but it wasn't related to Golion AT ALL it was called the brave three, Albegas name was changed to the defender, luckily the story wasn't changed or heavily edited we got Dairugger but it was insanely late and it was the WEP version but i just couldn't watch it even that i found a decent subbed version its alot to process lol
i also find it funny how they linked all of these robots together even tho they are unrelated by any means
im glad that we have both Golion and Dairugger, and i hope that Bandai is working on Albegas or Bismarck
im just thankful for Action Toys Albegas it literally help with the wait and if they truly came with thier DX Albegas, boy Bandai can suck it lol jk jk i will buy theirs too

My experience is also totally different. I watched albegas (was called arbegas here) in the 80s, as a little kid and blow my mind. It was my first robot show and I love robots since then. Then in the early 90s we got some voltron episodes (not the complete series) so I forgot about it until one or two years later I saw a Chinese plastic replica of the combiner voltron (I really wanted since I was in power rangers and it looked like a megazord), unfortunately it was about 60 dollars so my parents says no. But that time the robot stayed in my head. Move forward 20 years and I started collecting robots, so i wanted a voltron figure, I was about to get the toynami one when bandai announced theirs, so decided to wait and it worth it. I have to say I never watched the original show, just the new one in Netflix (I loved it), I'll have to do it in the future.
I really really crave for a soc arbegas. It's been a dream since I was four years old (we never got the toys around here, I wrote to Santa 2 years in a row asking for an arbegas toy).

You're correct; I did answer myself when I said that it's pointless, irrelevant sh*tposting. My apologies. I guess that about wraps it up then since that's the answer (per you) and I hope it changes but since there's apparently some sort of pushback about keeping threads on topic (which seems like common sense on top of being a rule) nothing will which is unfortunate. And just for the record, this thread isn't "99% about SOC Voltron" at this point and not even close.
