Howdy All- due to my friend no longer needing the GX-71 I helped pre-order for him from TFSource, I'm going to have an extra on my hands very shortly. I am going to offer it for cost + shipping. Nothing more. These are the buying requirements: - You are located within the United States
- You can pay via PayPal "Friends & Family" (or via PayPal "Paying For Goods", and are OK paying the buyer protection fees)
- You are in good standing with the Robot Japan forums and have at least some posts demonstrating you are an actual fan and not a flipper
If you'd like to purchase, shoot me a message and it's yours. First one to respond gets it. *Note to Mods/Admins: if this is not the appropriate place to post this, please let me know where is. Thank you. And PS, I suppose this post also serves as a heads up to those that pre-ordered from TFSource...they're shipping very shortly

Awesome job Matty - Thanks for sharing. Too many flippers and not enough people taking care of each other.
So quick question to everyone that has played with this guy. I saw some youtube videos that show how quickly the chrome gets an oily residue and starts to haze very quickly. They were mainly on the black lion, but I don't know if this is common. Anyone have this happening to their GX71s? I've only had mine for a couple of weeks, but haven't seen anything.

Hey, I actually spotted one in the wild at retail yesterday. If you are Georgia local and still looking for one, "Character World" in the Mall of Georgia has or had one on the shelf. Didn't notice the price, but safe bet is at the upper end of the MSRP range.

I've displayed mine in open air (on my mantle) since 2017 release and I've had no issues. Still shinin'....

This could be the last US retailer to get this at MSRP. Buy now, think later!

Check online comic shops. I managed to snag one from midtown comics. I think it was there last one or only one though.

That seller mainly sells model trains and dabbles in Bandai stuff. Usually sells at m.s.r.p. and discounts when he wants to unload stock . Good deal, even with tax and shipping. I got two online at $299.00 a piece

As the dust settles on the GX-71 reissue, I hope everyone who wanted one was able to get one!
I’m definitely looking forward to a potential R version.

Hands down, SOC GX-71 is just pure awesomeness. I love every aspect of it! GX-71 Voltron is really capture true essence of a combiner Lion Robots. They just perfect, IMO.
Many companies, including Trendmasters, Panosh and Toynami put their best effort to present an ultimate Voltron. Unfortunately, they failed. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of Super Robots, but I'm a fan of Voltron. When I saw Toynami release their 30th anniversary Voltron, I just wondering, is this the best version we can get with Voltron? Absolutely different with anime version we all know and love. And then, in 2016, BANDAI release Golion from their Soul of Chogokin line. I'm Shocked when I saw SOC GX-71 promotional pictures. Damn, they manage to capture it! It's Voltron! A little bit different, but almost similar with anime version. This is it! This is the anime accurate Voltron I've been looking for a long time. IMO, this is a must have. After finally manage to grab it, I'm very happy, because I'm right.

This really is the definitive version of Golion, I’m happy with every aspect of the toy. I wish I could say the same about the packaging; Collectors have waited for Bandai (Popy) to release a updated version of Golion for so long ... and with all the licensing drama between them and WEP,you would think they would have taken the opportunity to pay homage to the original Popy Golion. I mean, how hard would it have been for them to mimic this type of packaging!! Bandai owns the rights to the original Popy logo; I wish they would release a GX-71 Popy edition, with the Popy logo and Popy style presentation. If they ever do this; it’s going to hurt my wallet - even though I have two of these from the original run - I had to get another from the second run because of the variation in packaging (blue Bandai logo!!)of presentIon (something they seem to be doing for the GX-88, btw!!)

I really miss the missile launching gimmick in our gokin toys... nothing like a "don't shoot your eye out" reminder in acknowledging how cool the old school of these engineering marvels were back in the days...

I can definitely agree on that but on the flipside I'd hate Bandai for life if something shot out of my $300+ product at random like the olden days and I couldn't find it.
