Isn't this a design from 5 years ago that Bandai just dusted off when the license became available? People have seen or known of the prototype for years. Years before anyone had even heard of MadToys. I don't know what it is with the Mad Toys KoB fanboys. Dear lord. Bandai ripped off the design, Toynami ripped off the design. Look guys, it's a Bootleg. That's all it has ever been. A nice stylized bootleg that in no way matches any of the animation or designs from any show. Nobody is ripping them off. Quite frankly multi million or billion dollar industries really do not care about the couple of hundred bootleg pieces that they produced. The KoB is a nice gokin. if you bought one and are happy with it that's great. enjoy it. But it has nothing to do with any other product. It is not some all important work of art. It is not influencing anything. wholeheartedly agree to this. i've held the KoB before and admittedly it's a fine gokin, but not perfect or even near perfect.. it has no wrist articulations and a small face compared to body size. this SOC Golion is very near to anime accuracy, and i failed to see how it copies the KoB, unless you also mention that the KoB copies the toynami one. i for one, am excited for this SOC

Tamashi have a page up with more pics now : tamashii.jp/special/golion/The old pics are slightly different too, or photoshopped some more... ie the one showing all accessories now has the Golion badge. Stage looks great with all the weapons, heaps of outward articulation on the lion legs, popup gun gimmicks on their backs, optional number stickers. Good stuff... but it's still a little phoned in IMO. Like, they haven't even bothered to hide away Voltron's red chest pieces that end up on the tops of the Black Lion's shoulders... little things yes, but I just expected a bit better.

Nailed the individual lion add-on gear - and black lion aside - they help detract from their cute over-sized heads XD Anyway, they scaled this thing just as I hoped they would, and the price is spot-on too. While not an actual Voltron fan myself, I've always wanted a quality representation, and SOC is where it's at, kinda dig the fact it looks like it was designed a couple of years ago, feels more legit? weird, I know.

OK the yellow part on the back of Red lion and the red on Green lion are their weapons. I'm afraid those are switches for spring load Rocket punch. Although he get longer legs than old Gokin ,Black lion still look like a Turtle. Can't you do better than that Bandai ?

S_Gokin, in the anime serious Golion/Voltron's Blazing Sword/JuuOhKen dosen't use flame element but lightning that's the truth about his sword. ^_^; Here's how he use it in SRW. But man i really wish it has the Four Lion Attack 100 Ton Punch! gimmick.

i know bro i meant this form of the blazing sword, with the KOB version you get 3 version of the blazing sword one like this one, other like a flame with a handle, and a final form of the blazing sword in my opinion if they canceled the spear and gives us another two blazing sword it would be much better side info the blazing sword in the original Japanese show was called the sword of the king which i think sound more royal than the blazing sword lol the figure is available in AE, i found and an interesting info in the product description "exquisite cartoon inspired detail and a fully articulate combine mode capable of recreating the most dynamic poses from the show. Inside the box you will find: - The 5 lions which can be united to form the Beast King GoLion robot - Ten Kings Sword - Space Cutter - Double Sword - Solar Combat Spears - Cannons and Blade parts for each individual Lion - Special display base which allows you to display all the weapons. The display base comes with two different name plates (Voltron and GoLion, the latter written in Japanese characters) " well i hope they are right

SOC's usually don't come with effect parts unless in rare occasions, but it has happened like GX-50. I think if Bandai finally has the rights to Golion/Voltron perhaps we will see a anime accurate SRC with a load of effect parts. But it will depend on how the SOC will sell.
