Well also we must take into account that the soc voltron retail price was and still is 300usd... pose+ and action toys ask far more for theirs products. The pose+ godam is a wonderful piece but the retail price was arround 450usd and is not even a combiner (also I found pose+ releases to be pretty close to screen accuracy. godam, goshogun, gold lightan), the only one that go far from source material is their gaogaigar but I think it belongs to a different line. I love what pose+ is doing, and I really think their stuff worth their asking price, but also Im priced out there. i agree with you, i think Pose + prices are kinda reasonable expensive yes but reasonable for what we are getting
Gold Lightan was around 300 Baxinger was around 300 as well ? (not sure)
Goshogun was 340 Godam 320, but it have some DX style features like removable panel and awesome joints system so it worth it
and now Braiger is 320
GGG, i didnt watch it but i know the brave robots are busy and chunky, just like the super sentai stuff, also alot of of parts to work with and transform same with Baikanfu
most of us are on a tight budget so its a matter of what you want to get the most
Oh come on S. now…..I wouldn’t exactly call GX71 half baked. But You’re right about “Bandai R” though. White limbs, Narrower chest, longer thigh and neck, then add those leg cover and BOOM, Sell millions! Now where is my cut Bandai?
you are right my bad, the GX71 is not half baked but it need tiny stuff to make it better
i will add on what you mentioned an accurate black lion parts in robot mode, you know the Y shape wing and the removal of the front legs so the back could look cleaner and accurate

I don't think it works that way. It should be all a matter of money. You can get an exclusive license if you pay enough, if not you get the license and anyone else can get it too. Im guessing here, but given the how quickly bandai reissue GX71, maybe they acquire the license for a certain period of time (so they are trying to get the most out of it). Another case might be that, they pay a small percentage to the licensor for each unit sold, so obviously the licensor is happy with bandai sales and will be very happy with each reissue.

I haven't run into problems with Nin-nin just yet. But they do tend to be a bit slower than the other Japanese stores, with some stuff shipped out a few weeks after release over there. I am guessing they receive their stock in batches? Might vary from case to case.

Updated pics of the 3rd party covers painted, looks pretty good and was such a simple design but makes a huge difference.

The covers don't seem to be thick enough to be simply 'covers' on top. Looks a little plain since I am so used to seeing those chrome legs.

Yup you have to remove the legs, I believe they are on ball joints. I probably wouldn't pop them in and out constantly but they should be sturdy enough not to de-form the hole and give you limp legged lions.

I think the front legs on the yellow and blue lions have some kind of spring loaded function as well. So might be slightly more effort to remove/reinstall. Prob not difficult though.

i dont like custom adds one but this one is so good i might grab it
with those parts the GX71 is about %90 accurate to the show, the rest %10 are Y shaped wings without hinges, white paint and no front legs for the black lion
these parts made the GX71 much more accurate than 5 pro one I think the front legs on the yellow and blue lions have some kind of spring loaded function as well. So might be slightly more effort to remove/reinstall. Prob not difficult though.
they pop off and pop on easily when i got mine one of the blue lion legs was off, it was very easy to put them back
