If they reissue them, I would love to get one or two of them, like the vf1s and 1j. They are just charming!

Apparently the reissue 1/55's never sold well for Bandai. But I think part of that is their choice to release the same old 1J and 1S again and again. I think Ostrich, Elint, and GBP would sell really well. And personally, I would pre-order the everlasting hell out of a 1/55 VF-1D, or Max's VF-1A from the TV series.
A nice, color accurate, Origin-of-Valkyrie-reissue style VF-1D with an old-school big and clunky head sculpt is my personal grail that will most likely never happen.

Thou it a simple head mold change but That would be an interesting relaese since that was the 1st valk that Hikaru piloted to save Minmei.

I think Bandai really missed its opportunity for a VF-1D 'reissue' when they had the chance. 1D is a very memorable and popular valk, even though it only shows up in the first couple episodes (but way more screen time than Elint and Ostrich). All it needs is a new head with some color change. They would do all sorts of remold and recoloring on other toys that are less significant, yet they never thought of the 1D. Just too bad...

With the current toy technology, its quite easier for Bandai to release a 1D. Heck they could even improve the old Takatoku chunky monkey release. Its just boils down to what the top executives at Bandai think is the best to release. With social media as their leverage Im pretty sure they could'nt go wrong.

Yeah. A never before seen 1/55 VF-1D chunky monkey would be a really nice anniversary item for collectors old and new, maybe around US$70-80 a pop.
Bandai, are you listening?!

I would hold my breath against the $70-80 price mark. I mean I would be jumping right away oh the pre order list if that would happen. But the current hi-metal series are already in that price range. So if ever bandai will re-issue the 1/55 line, Im guesstimating it would be around the $150-200 price rangeðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

The 1/55 Origin of Valkyrie reissues were ¥7800 each. That was back in 2008. So, with inflation and etc., maybe a bit more than that? But, I don't see how it can be the price you're thinking.

Over 10000 yen might be a hard sell. Its an old toy afterall with plenty of previous reissues. But I'll buy it though if its a 1D.

Yup, no more engineering required so I'm guessing they shouldn't cost that much. Unless the licensing fees will offset the cost of R&D... then we're screwed

I'd be in for a Strike, GBP, Max/Miriya...as long as the pricing is "reasonable"....whatever that may be. I have a couple Supers, Hikaru 1A, 1J, and a couple fodder 1A's. They are still some of my favorite toys. To me...they will never get old. I'v got the 1/48 and 1st gen 1/60's pretty much for the sake of having them. I still prefer the chunky monkeys.

The Chuncky monkey would never get old coz theyre already old. Joke! Anyway looks Bandai is concentrating on the newer Delta series. Which i found it one of the cheesiest lamest Macross series. It ranks with the Macross 7 and Macross 2. The plot is not the best, and the songs arent great compared to Frontier and the walkure girl band is just.... never mind...

Was really hoping we would get something...anything reissued this year, but being that we're a month and a half until the end of 2017, looks like nothing is going to happen.
