This concerns me. If/when we do get a proper SOC Dragon Caesar he won't be able to handle this mode due to the extra weight. I think it's because the legacy dragonzord diecast distribution wasn't properly planned to incorporate transformation. I'm sure a SOC dragon Caesar would be more thoughtful about this aspect ( maybe diecast only on the claws instead of the whole foot) And if all else fails,we can incorporate a stand for the Megadragonzord.

I would agree that the SOC dragonzord SHOULD not have too much metal otherwise the combo modes will be very unstable and would have a lot of us feeling uneasy. Look at Goldymarg, on its own it is a good figure, but combined with GGG it's way too damn heavy for GGG to handle comfortably.

Hey bader how does that weight compare to Voltron? I believe Voltron is just over 1400grams. Yes Voltron = 1416 grams. Megazord is between GGG (1194 grams) & Ideon (1382 grams).

Kinda sad that the best part of the Star Gaogaigar Set is the stand it comes with so you can make more dynamic poses at the cost of bricking your SoC Gaogaigar. But yeah,I see the Megadragonzord needing a stand that attaches from the crotch or back section.

Look at Goldymarg, on its own it is a good figure, but combined with GGG it's way too damn heavy for GGG to handle comfortably. I think the difference is that the dragonzord's combination would weigh directly downwards and if anything give it more stability because the added gravity helps plant the figure where Goldymarg was just this big heavy brick that attaches to the end of GGGs arm and is supposed to be able to be swung up and down as if it's a regular-old forearm which obviously wasn't possible. The other combination is literally becoming the upper torso which is the figure's center mass and shouldn't effect the balancing at all either. The combinations are quite a bit different to compare to goldymarg which is like telling someone to carry 2 cinder blocks in one hand all day. I think it's going to be fine and no need at all for stands.

How likely do you guys think that dragon Caesar is happening? If so, what time frame seems reasonable? Id like to think that since we re seeing a release of dragonzord minipla, bandai is testing the waters for a possible SOC version. Then again, they don't need much testing since it's well know the dragonzord is among the most desired mechas out there.

With the recent pacific rim announcment, anything is possible with the soc line. I hope if they do itd not a p-bandai exclusive like the Gaogaigar star parts.

The Star Parts were P-Bandai because it's a straight up accessory pack for GaoGaiGar (poorly done, but still). Dragonzord is its own mech, not to mention being as popular if not more so than the Megazord itself.

I do have to mention that I did talk to one of the Bandai Japan reps at the Tamashii Nations Tour in NY and he said the possibility of Dragonzord being an SOC is high only if GX -72 sells well.

That way if it is rather expensive at like $200+,people will have time to wait.

It made the weight issues worse and necessitated a stand to keep it and Goldion Hammer aloft. It basically made my Star Gaogaigar a statue but it does have a commanding presence in my collection. Still want to get a 2nd Gaogaigar to play with.
