That's cool TaurusOxford are those GGG smaller articulated hands? Can you make articulated cannons for me? They're third-party hands meant for 1/60 scale Gundam models, although now looking at them they could also be modified to work with SoC GGG as well (there's even a wrist joint that would allow the Protect Shade hand pose). Sadly I don't think articulated cannon are feasible, jokes aside. Got a link or at least a name we can Google up?

Great work, now you got me interested in the same modification. Did you have to disassemble anything to get them in there?

Great work, now you got me interested in the same modification. Did you have to disassemble anything to get them in there? Zero modifications are needed for Daizyujin itself. This will help illustrate what I did. You can see from these instructions that the hands come molded with a peg, which obviously doesn't work for Daizyujin. I simply cut off the peg on part 1 and then assembled the hand as normal. Then, superglue parts 1 and 2 together - this is pretty necessary since the size of the hole you need to fit the wrist balljoints pretty much requires you to get rid of part 1 and 2's own connection pegs. Now, it was easy for me since I own a Dremel. This is what results: Yeah it's not the prettiest looking thing on the inside but considering you can't see it it's hardly a big deal.

Thanks, it makes me cringe a little to see a $300 plus toy get hacked even a little but this is worth it. Especially in your case, with all the trouble you had to go through to get it took major courage. Personally, I am very tempted to do what you did because the default hands seem "half assed." I don't see why bandai didn't give Daizyujin fully articulated hands.

I don't see why bandai didn't give Daizyujin fully articulated hands. Well that's the thing - there's literally no "hacking" here, unless you count hand options hacking. As for the default hands, I would say they are the weakest part of Daizyujin. What I don't get is why the fingers are all individually jointed but only at the base knuckle joint - all you get from that are hands that look absolutely awful when they're open and hands that can't securely hold the weapons cause the base knuckle joint gives way and loosens the grip on everything. They would have been far better off just going the SRC method and giving us multiple sets of hands for fists/holding/dynamic spread posing.

Yah more I think of it and own it and sadly compare to other SoCs I have I personally don't think it's worth $300.00. $220-250 to me is better price.
GGG was much cheaper purchase and I was in awe of it and left it on my office desk for days just admiring it and all extra parts.
GX-72 does look damn good though but thinking of past SoCs and what I got with GX-72 gave me an empty feeling. Like I found myself looking in box for something else because I'm used to it with all my other Chogokin.

Still need a couple more topcoats to complete the finish, but the hands are 99% done: and to just to show that yes, they will fit inside the Mastodon:

It just feels like a step back from what they've accomplished with recent combiners like GGG and Voltron. Why dont the forearms lock? Why cant it look up and down? I also feel like we shouldve gotten some non perfect transformation parts. Hands, articulated cannons... a removable tail on tyrannosaurus when combined.

Maybe price is warranted because of assault mode kind of like triple changer thing. But yah articulated fingers and cannons and I'd be happy to pay $300 for it. Yes, I just realized the head doesn't move up and down after your earlier post and was like ah man That sucks. I find myself posing around my SRC Daizyujin lately now. Haha I know it's different scale and line.

My final pose/image of Daizyujin for the foreseeable future. It's hard to tell in photos but the hands really help in making Daizyujin more expressive in posing.

Just got mine from Amazon. It's a great figure although I feel there's a lot of missed oppurtunities with it such as the non rolling wheels and tank treads. Not having any acccessories except the sword is another minus for me. Should have been a $200 figure but not a $300 one.
