Just wanted to share this funny review of the figure. Like this reviewer, I honestly isn't much of a Power Rangers guy. I enjoyed the most recent movie but Power Rangers was just pass my time. By the time it aired, I was in high school so it was more like my kid brothers thing.
Funny thing about the review was that the guy got it for $175 and he's still complaining about the price. Upside is, he's likely to be able to recoup the cost by selling it since he got it for that low of a price.

I love his reviews!! He is always funny to me or I'm just easily entertained. LOL!!
Th things he does to his pieces ALWAYS makes me cringe!! But I love it becaue I would never to it.
When's the next meeting for us? And where? Next year SDCC? Time to plan. LOL! I want to come this time.

The Magazord is so easy to find. Not selling too well I guess. I may grab another one.

I think GX-72 is a tad over priced for what the market will bare for a Megazord. Voltron could get away with such a price jump. MMPR less so.

Hearing about low sales, makes me sad because if we don't get a dragonzord because of this I'll be pretty bummed.

I got my GX-72 last week and I cant help but feel let down by this one. Articulation is really lacking, im not expecting SRC level here but this is kinda bad. No up/down motion on the Megazord head itself, hands suck at gripping the shield, legs have no backwards movement. If a nice display piece but i dont think much care went into designing it, the treads not locking on the triceratops when theyre out also seems like a WTF decision. Only good thing about this set IMO is the Tyrannosaurus I guess some people have seen what they need to see in Legacy Megazord.. not much to be overwhelmed about... probably bcoz they are made by the same company. Unlike for example on other chogokins thats was released for the first time by Bandai.. where u are expecting the unexpected.. no two close or almost similar product for u to use as a measuring stick. expectations aint that high. Not sure why but I've little desire to get the SOC megazord. Having voltron be such a flawless production might have something to do with it. I have a vintage megazord, the legacy and SRC so perhaps he's one too many! He is totally awesome still but just not another $300 spend for me. I originally has him preordered and was stoked for it but when I saw reviews I wasn't excited, I followed my gut reaction and cancelled. Still, hope I never get to hold one in hand and then regret it!!!

Congrats on the purchase. I guess getting the SOC depends if you collect Daiyuzin or if youre not satisfied with previous releases. Soc megazord is definitely is a good buy and one of the line's better releases.

Just curious, besides the accessories and size, how is voltron better? Te articulation seems at the same level.

I think even articulation is better. More painted parts, Paint app is better, no stickers i believe. More metal, more gimmicks, more movable parts. Better transformation. Better proportioned, albeit slightly....
But alas, I too canceled EVEN after selling my legacy for $5 to make room for this guy....in the end i knew id regret buying SOC Megazord after seeing numerous reviews.... That $300 will go along way towards other releases that'll suit better for me.

SoC Megazord seems a good toy but i passed.. it doesent suit my robot lineup.. coz they are all animations/or cartoon based! (well except for Big Dai X ).. besides i have a seperate collection for Megazord DXs..

Yeah I see lot of people selling off their SoC Megazord daily on eBay and Facebook collector forums. It's pretty bad. I see Megazord selling for like $250. I wish I didn't buy mine at full price. Feel ripped off...haha SoC Voltron is way better and I just bought second one. Not only is Voltron heavier but more accessories and better articulation. G-72 It's nice looking piece but not for $300 more like $200-250.

Im not exactly sure as i do not have Legacy anymore and obviously do not have SOC Megazord, so im just guestimating by looking at the video reviews. But what little i remember, For instance, the trunk of the Mamoth, The tali of the T-Rex are articulated on SOC. Im pretty sure Legacy doesnt have that. Arent hands and anckles have wider angles of movements? Hips elbows and knees too? Id be surprised if it werent better then Legacy.

GGG my bad I was asking how the Voltron is differently articulated than the Daizyujin? I have the legacy and yes theres no question who kicks more ass. I seen reviews of voltron but it's not enough to make me pull the trigger on him. I just don't really like the design as much, whereas the dinozords looks way more like animals. I suppose some mecha fans value the humanoid look over the animals, but I'm different. Even then, the SOC shape is so bad as, it's streamlined without sacrificing it's aspect of strength.

No worries,
Yeah, for me if it had a proportion of the source..(yes the guy in the suit look).
At Least put the bigger head and hands as an option accessory you know. Hjow hard is that really. Scale the same head and hands 20 percent up in CAD? then id be lot more inclined to buy him. In retrospect, Bandai could had added the diecast power Ranger figurines. And effect parts...and....of course.....couple of damaged parts.
All at $199 then it could of been much MUCH more palettable to me.
