SRC - Mazin-Emperor G.

i honestly didnt see Dynamic pro's original design so i cant judge but the final design of Emperor is not that catchy for me specially with the huge Shin Getter 1 shoulders

till today im not %100 sure who designed Mazinkaiser is it Dynamic Pro or Banpresto

and for Shin Mazinger it didn't flopped miserably, the investors just pulled the plug , even the show was a success not a huge success but it was doing good, from what Ive read back in the time the story continues with both Shin Mazinger and Shin Great Mazinger fighting together

To be honest the eyes are less obvious than the other SRC Mazingers. I guess its a problem only if you really have great display lighting. Pupils don't bother me personally.

I personally prefer the pupil because it's video game accurate. This is exactly what majin g looks like in super robot wars v.

I was actually refering to the pupils i see on the upcoming Maz Anime image.

Look at the eyes and i see unlit pupils.

On this SRC, there are other visual things that dont sits well with me.

Certainly the eyes could have been handled better, but those ghastly wrist joints, its one of the worse ive seen.
Absoluetly No excuse for that. With all the engineering might, Bandai could have done better. What are paying the designers for?

And "The sandles" could have been bit less pronounced....

But im nit picking, im sure its a fine src at the end. Viewing some reviews, The presence, the diecast content, of course the articulation all look excellent.

if Mazinkaiser was designed originally by Dynamic Pro, why Dynamic Pro created yet another more interim version of Mazinkaiser to avoid license conflict with Banpresto ?

some sites claim that it was designed originally by Banpresto and Dynamic Pro took it and some sites claim the other way is right

and for Shin Mazinger, i pretty sure ive read some where that season two with Great Mazinger in it was on the work but investors pull the money plug

of course Mazinger z will get more toys than ANY robot out there 2016 alone we got more than 20 figures

its still early to judge on the new show but im sure i will be an interesting thing to watch

Didn't know Shin Mazinger Z flopped as an anime. I couldn't get into it when I watched the first couple episodes, with the disjointed storytelling. But assumed it was popular and spawned quite a few toys and gokins.

About the Emperor G, the eyes gave the toy a creepy smile (like the internet infamous troll face), even though the eyes look fine in the game. Something is off. Maybe the pupil dot is too small and look up too much. A Gundam Marker fine tip to slightly widen the dot to make the eyes look more heroic might fix it.

I think it looks off because the pupils are too small combined with having too much black surrounding the eyes. It's like the SRC is permanently squinting at you.

Anybody who is still thinking if getting it or not ... do yourself a favor and get it now!! This is the best SRC so far and the heaviest!
The execution is super!

the thing is Kaus in this time most of the anime's get pirated so to get an actual official number is hard, from what i see the show wasn't a failure it just didn't reach the target they wanted, just like you get a C when you thought you will get an A, and that's what made the investors to stop the money

on top of that there was alot of official concepts art for Great Mazinger in the next show where Great Mazinger will became a giant flying fist like Mazinger z, also they used the design they wanted to use for the show in the SRW V game specially here

What's up guys?

I haven't posted any photos for a while now and I took these about a week ago but totally forgot to post them here.

So here you go, my photo shoot of the SRC Mazin Emperor G. I loved this guy in Super Robot Wars V and I basically got the figure and reached the stage where he first appears on the same day! lovely coincidence is it not?

So anyway...beautiful figure. Love the size, the weight and the diecast content. I didn't appreciate the similarity to Mazinkaiser at first but it eventually grew on me. I like how this guy can hold the sword easily with one hand. Well done to Bandai's design team on this figure. The paint is beautiful, the articulation is amazing and overall a fantastic figure to own if you like this design.

What I don't like....well There are a few items but they don't really ruin the figure for me..

1) Where are the Emperor Blades? Surely it wouldn't have been that difficult to include them with this set.

2) If you have this figure then you would have noticed a few white marks on the edges of each cape part...kind of like where plastic breaks off a tree when you're building a model kit. I did not like that even though it's not very noticeable unless up close.

3)  I wished the cape had more articulation...if you played the game you can see that the cape is quite flexible...which gives you even more amazing poses.

4) Lastly, the Emperor Sword attack changes the cape effectively into a Scrander like wing....I guess Bandai might be saving an option/weapons set for that and the Emperor Blades? Time will tell. Enjoy the photos.
