Am I the only one that doesn't care for this new face swapping feature to show the dimmed eyes? Unless there was some sort of stand to hold the pilder over the head it really doesn't make too much sense right? And what is this new joint system they are talking about? I'm not familiar with the Metal Build series, can anyone here explain? Other than that, this doesn't seem to much of a departure from the SRC Big Bird Mazinkaiser. Pre-Orders open April 3rd, but I'm thinking I'll wait for some video reviews on this. Gotta see this thing in the wild.

I think Bandai is talking about metal joints and maybe metal internals..... Yeah, those fat wrists are turning me off on this Kaiser....

this is the most majestic Mazinkaiser i ever saw and are they really using Metal Build joint system that will be awesome for those who dont know, the Metal Build line is for real robot action figures, The line consists of extreme detail and articulation with diecast metal parts, and it predominantly Gundam oriented the ARX-8 Laevatein from Full Metal Panic was the only non-Gundam release

Just a plating? Wow.....

The sentence translates to "Using electrolytic plating used in "Strike Freedom Gundam"". That is just a paint application I believe. I think the GX-75 looks fantastic and can not wait until April 3rd to pre-order.

It's not saying the robot is just plated. They are talking about the gold colored joints. It uses the same metal plating method over plastic parts that they previously used on that one, heavily gold colored Gundam. It's supposed to be a better or more durable form of metalic plating than the normal vacu-metal plating (am I remembering the name of the process right?) or metallic paint. Basically they are just implying that the gold color on the joints shouldn't flake off.

Eletrolytic plating is just a paint application but one that resists rubbing/flaking off and is less prone to scratching.

TBH, I do like the shade of gold on those joints. The plating do make The joints really looks like a nice metal.
Come on, to me it is just a bit, a tiny bit of let down when Bandai is showing off a plating, A PLATING on a joint as a feature on its marque line......

Am I the only one that noticed that the Kaiser Scrander comes with two different sizes of wings? The ones in the top left picture look enormous.

NO They're just using same type of plating method on joints as Metal Build. As the kneeling photo suggests, the articulation is mediocre at best. no need to yell man, i was just wondering from what i saw in the promo photo

is there already many Mazinkaiser SOCs??? No. They have never done Mazinkaiser in their modern Soul of Chogokin line. There was an SRC, "Super Robot Chogokin" the smaller super articulated line, that was released twice. Once in standard colors, once in chrome.

The SRC and Sen-Ti-Nel can each kick themselves in the ass. Why wouldn't they put a moving panel at the back of the knee to allow greater flex?

I guess Bandai has finally realised that gokin people don't really care about the articulation lol. I mean seriously, those Gundam people would gladly pay $200 for that tiny Metal Build F91 that it's sold out everywhere. but gokin people are going like 'it's none combiner' , 'articulation doesn't cost money' so why even bother? So basically, you do not really miss out on anything non-combining when comparing the SoC and SRC lines? Kinda sad as whilst it is great for articulation, the size range for SRCs do make them weird to show off with SoCs.

I collect both and i like articulation on my figures..sure i only play with it for maybe 30min to an hour for the entire life expectancy of the toy.
its all about options, otherwise id be collecting statues. The same arguement applies to accessories too id think. Tho i care far less with that one.
So if Bandai thinks for a second that it can ignore articulation on SOC, they are making a mistake....id say.

The same arguement applies to accessories too id think. Tho i care far less with that one. So if Bandai thinks for a second that it can ignore articulation on SOC, they are making a mistake....id say. Yeah I can definitely understand. With Transformation toys, the most likely case of sacrifice to certain articulation for the engineering is more forgiveable as some figures even with modern engineering would be a pain to get all the possible articulation due to the balance needed for the look and function for all modes. I am curious as to potential SoCs like a possible Might Gaine and Choryujin would be able to accomplish mainly due to one transformation feature being hindering by nature with even basic articulation. Gaine as he turns into a train,an arm and a fully functioning figure should Might Gaine be done and the legs of Horyu and Enryu limiting shoulder articulation for Chouryujin. Unless they can make a turning and somewhat universal joint with a decent yet flexible clipping system,it will either kill the shoulder articulation or be an engineering nightmare to deal with without cheating a bit. But on to Mazinkaiser,I can see the lack of say,a butterfly shoulder joint would hurt the SoC as the Sentinel release has that and more from what we have seen thus far.

articulation is the reason why the SRC Grenidzer is light years better than the SOC, because it can mimic most of Grendizer dynamic poses and that score major points in my book as a collector and as a photographer
articulation will always be a top priority for me, and with modern SOC and SRC it became better and better i wish if they just use the same legs design in the GX-45 more often tho
now back to Mazinkaiser, i really dont see how we could compare the SOC to the Riobot, one is anime accurate and the other is a more modernizer version

Gosh...Riobot Kaiser now sold out at BBTS too. The last place where i could have gotten at a decent price.
Oh well, woe is me. Thats what i get for being an empty pocket.
