Simple, nice and clean. Nothing out of this world but enough to fill that gap in the collection. I wish he was a head taller though

Looks like it's going to be more or less the size of the Maxfactory one I personally prefer this scale ...I guess it's ok. A few millimeters don't make much of a difference. I guess I am just used to thinking Kaiser was huge compared to Z

Now I need General though. Will he be GX 76?
But then what about Grendy? GX 78? He will make some serious cash for Bandai....thats without a doubt.

I guess I am just used to thinking Kaiser was huge compared to Z Looks like it'll be larger than the MaxFactory Kaiser. The new pic shows GX-01 reaching about to the middle of Proto-Kaiser's shoulders, which looks right in line with that scale chart. And that's with Proto-kaiser in a bit more of an A-stance than the MF version in that pic. Also, Proto-Kaiser SOC looks to have it's elbow joints at the same height as GX-01's shoulders; again, a bit taller than the maxfactory. Not that I care. I totally don't care. I've never liked the Mazinkaiser design or story. I'm totally not feeling interested in this SOC just because it represents the design so cleanly and looks like it''l be yet another solid and fun SOC. Nor do I have an interest in it because I'm coming offa some kinda die-cast high from the amazing SOC GoLion. Like I said, I've never liked mazinkaiser. So, wallet, if you happen to be reading this, you can just stop looking at me like that when I look at pictures of SOC Proto-kaiser online, cause I'm certainly definitely probably not going to make you shell out for that awesome-looking figure of a design I've never liked. . dammit bandai.

hehe THAT Grendizer!LOL i dont always believe these specs given by the prod team.. they tend to biasly exagerate feautures towards thier favorable mech.. i much prefer what i see on the screen.. IN ACTION.

For the record : Looks like the Aoshima version is preferably the right size for this scene.

thanks for all the comparison photos guys in my opinion i think its weird that we have official numbers but in the anime those number aren't there, an example boss borot, in Mazinger z, it was a bit shorter than Mazinger z but when it appeared in Grendizer it was almost as tall as Grendizer same case in Great Mazinger, i understand the heights or proportion gets kinda off in the anime but still back to Mazinkaiser in the anime it looks like a giant colossus that's heavy and slow, even tho its lighter than Grendizer, which doesn't make since at all lol, so i guess its up to the person and which sources he wanna follow, the anime or the numbers, for me i think the GX-75 height is perfect comparing with the other SOC as for the next SOC i hope Bandai gives us new character

Thanks everyone for the clarification. It was probably the Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger that I was thinking of!

70s cartoons were inaccurate and inconsistent. Toy makers have a very hard job making a toy "anime accurate." I'm referring to Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger and Grendizer, not Mazinkiser who is not a 70s robot.

I'm referring to Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger and Grendizer, not Mazinkiser who is not a 70s robot. Japanese anime houses really did not start using Western style character guides and standards until the mid 80's. Western animators and artists had evolved that way because both Disney and the comic industry were built around the concept of the artist being replaceable. That the characters remain 100% consistent across any number of artists. It was built into their business model. Whereas the Japanese model was more traditionally individual artist/creator driven. Even in situations like anime where it was being farmed out to a team, the character models were not as tightly standardized as Disney would do, and they operated more on a "looks good" approach rather than rigidity to templates.

damn if the comparison pics are accurate more or less, this means this mazinkaiser figure is almost as big as the aoshima version. man what a difference in the quality look of both the aoshima and the SoC version, truly the SoC is the better version.
for what imnoticing this SoC version might be articulated like its SRC version, very notible in the elbow joint as well the upper torso.

This seems have most of the articulations of SRC.....niiiice We can hope. Although what we see does look amazingly like an upscaling of the SRC's articulation. The elbows at least clearly resemble that.
