I hope same as Astroganger....about $200 shipped? I think generally 5pro wants to make name for itself so its willingly to aggressively price it. Just a guess. im in if thats the cost

Absolutely gorgeous.
The only bad thing I can say about it is that Medicom never made a VCD Getter 2 and 3, so chances of 5Pro doing these two are really really slim. Even slimmer than usual. So we'll probably only get a lone Getter 1. Again.
But I so wish I was wrong on this.
Come on, 5 Pro : prove me wrong.
However, Medicom did release a VCD Black Getter...

I would be really surprised if 5 Pro wont do Black Getter.
I would love to say dont lose hope on 2 and 3 since 5Pro did show off their version while ago (if i remember correctly)...but yeah. Its "difficult."i think.

Amiami finally cleaned out the Sentinel Getters. Got myself one a few months back for 7000yen I think. I don't know if Sentinel's looks way better, but sure can pose more dynamically thanks to the engineering. But the 5 Pro is more true to form as it appeared in the show.Like most Riobots, Sentinel's Getters are stylized to an extend, especially the head. Good to hear that. It was bit disheartening to see a such a quality piece being a shelf warmer.... I know I'm late here, but Sentinel's Getter 1 did well enough to get two runs; the second one to go with their Ryoma 4inch Nel. So I wouldn't call that figure a shelf warmer. Though I understand that others may see things differently. That even if a figure was rereleased a dozen times, if it took forever for that last run to sell out, that alone is enough to call it a "shelf warmer" (because one it did, at one point, "warm shelves" by not moving from them). But the expression carries such a connotation of failure that I don't like to see it applied to figures like the Riobot Getter 1, which did relatively well. The Ryoma 4inch Nel, however... And I have to say that the head - the huge gap behind between the neck and the head - is what I dislike the most on Sentinel's otherwise awesome Getter 1. (But that thread is about 5 Pro Studio's, so I'll just shut up.)

It Def is NOT a failure in any means! It truly truly is a masterpiece. This piece was a turning point for Sentinel.

Its "difficult."i think. Yeaaaah... I need more sleep. I was sure there was a thread about them, but I just couldn't find it. Turns out it's this one... right here. I couldn't find it because I was ALREADY IN IT. The "70s Toei" trio thread became a mixed thread when VCD (OVA) Getter 1 3D printed prototype pics were posted in it. The Carbotix VCD OVA Getter 1 thread is there : robotjapan.proboards.com/thread/24845/5pro-studio-carbotix-converted-getter(Which, I see, happens to be your thread, eh.) I wonder what happened to that Getter trio. I hope it doesn't get cancelled. I like the old GX-06 SOC set - even kept the GX-06M, mainly for Michiru's ship -, but these look so much better.

It Def is NOT a failure in any means! It truly truly is a masterpiece. This piece was a turning point for Sentinel. I meant commercial failure. Masterpieces can be shelf warmers too. It's just that Sentinel's didn't really fail commercially, since it did well enough to get rereleased. So I personally wouldn't call it a shelf warmer even if it took retailers longer to clear out that second run. But I see why some might still call it a "shelf warmer". I just wouldn't myself. But never mind, it's not important. A petty point I shouldn't have brought up; that wouldn't be the first time on this board.

Oops, I deleted the most important part when rephrased my first post. I meant to say that the Getter trio they revealed was the 70s version, albeit a slightly more stylized one. I guess these Getter 2 and 3, if they're the same scale, wouldn't look so bad next to the OVA Getter 1. Getter 3, other than the color scheme, isn't that different that in Getter Robo Armageddon. Getter 2 looks like a mix of 70s Toei and Armageddon aesthetics, with the modern more slanted front of "hat" and the vintage looks on the pincer. I don't know where the pupils in its eyes come from. I mistakenly thought it was from Armageddon, but I just checked and Getter 2 has blank yellow eyes in this OVA too. In Neo Getter vs Shin Getter as well. I don't remember if it does in the original manga. Some Super Robot Wars games put pupils on Getter 2: the only place (other than fan art) that I've seen them. I like how it looks with pupils, but I always associated it with more "unrestrained" Getters, having somewhat a mind of their own because of Getter Rays taking over the machine. Be it because Shin Getter is so much more powerful, or because of Ryoma didn't bother with the safety measures on his half-assed patch up job on Black Getter. (Eh, it's impressive and all to have done this all alone on the moon, but it's still a patch up job.) So on this Getter 2, being the original (less powerful) model made by trained professionals under Doctor Saotome's supervision, the pupils seem a bit off. (/nerding out) PS : No fourth post in a row, I swear.

I believe it’s a wide release as it will release under Carbotix line.
Should have a “decent” diecast with ample “carbon.” It should also have a LED gimmick on this release.
