Heres a piece on DC Getter 1 from my favorite Korean Toy Blogger. m.blog.naver.com/PostView.nhn?blogId=yang456&logNo=221052261557&navType=tl&proxyReferer=http%3A%2F%2Fm.blog.naver.com%2Fyang456My favorite Korean Bloggers not very impressed with Great, so he is not expecting much from Getter 1. According to him, the short coming of Mazinger is still present on Great and the novelty of D.C. Is wearing off FAST ....hence he is not anticipating a much better figure from Getter 1 ! At least For him. Everyone is of course entitle to his opinion. But I DO see what he is saying tho....just like almost all SOCs, Great def is NOT without cons...imho of course. Still a Great figure. Finally we are on a new page.

Can we tone down the sexy stuff in regular discussions and keep them in the 'heroine' thread? Almost got me in trouble when browsing during my lunch break, as coworkers can see what I am looking at, as well as my boss. Need to quickly navigate back up and hit the 'back' button as soon as I see some butt. LOL...happens to me all the time. mpchi, just for you I will try to tone it down some, but I can't make any promises.

I expected a lot more than what we got considering Bandai's engineering has advanced since GX-01. By the time GX-73 was released i came to terms with the articulation and I had a better experience with that figure. Its my favorite DC at the moment and the fact that it comes with everything in one package is a big plus.

I don't do a lot of posing with these so it never bothered me but I can see how it would bother some people. I am happy if it has a good sculpt and I can get it into the static poses I like. I am horrible at posing figures! LOL

i kinda agree, the DC line offers slim and accurate looks from the anime thats it, the engineering of the figures is below what we are used to from an SOC
wish if they give the figures more articulation specially the legs, why they didnt use the legs from the GX-45 it was so awesome that it could hold a high kick pose
for me articulation comes first

To me the engineering feels much better than that of most SOC's, with smoother joint action, tighter tolerances, and considerably more thought to the design of how the parts fit together and work as a whole. As well it should be, given that they've had two decades to improve on the classic but rough-and-tumble likes of GX-01 and GX-02. The fit of the fin on the Great Booster is the only place I'd deduct points. The scrander must have been a last-minute rush for them to fumble something so easy while getting the design and fit of parts like the faceplate and leg fins so perfect. The wobble on the chest boomerang is kind of weird, but might give some play that's needed to be able to pull it out safely.
