Well, let's see if this turns out better than their VF-2. I can't imagine it being worse than Toynami's, but that tape is not reassuring.

These don't look too bad. I sold my CMs version and my Toynami version. Perhaps if this turns out well I will pick this up too. Quality is always a concern with ET

Doesn't look bad. The only thing that really sticks out like a sore thumb are those blocky hands they used on the VF-2. Other than that I'm okay with this and would pick up all three when available.
I know.... I am a glutton for punishment.

Wow!! I saw the title of this thread with "Evolution Toys" and almost ignored it because I thought this would be one of their magnet jointed robots. I am so glad I clicked on this link! I really hope this comes through and does not get cancelled in any way. Because I love the Legioss so much, I was willing to even purchase Toynami's second attempt at doing it right before it got cancelled.
Now the biggest question I have on these is how tall will these toys be?

28,800 yen. Ouch. After the VF-2 disaster I'm not sure if Evolution Toys has learned their lesson.
It seems as if they're basing it heavily on the old Aoshima figure, so if they manage to fix its few problems and improve the QC, it may actually be quite nice.

The size is 240mm which is roughly close to 9.5 inches tall in robot mode. I can't remember how tall the Toynami/Aoshima Legioss were but seems like these might be slightly taller or so?
What's up with all Evolution Toys being so damn expensive? lol That being said, still looking forward to see how the quality is once this toy releases after July. I'll wait for quality reviews by Scorched Earth Toys (anymoon.com) first.

That's a typically bananas BBTS price. I've got mine preordered at HLJ for 25900 Yen, which is about $230. It's a little more than Arcaida valks, yet bigger than those so the pricing seems about in line with it's 'peers'.
The real question is, will the QUALITY be in line with Yamato/Arcadia toys. I'm expecting no, but hoping for the best.

Delayed again until 11/30...I just hope they're trying extra hard to make sure it's good.

This is now in stock at HLJ and NY. I haven't gotten a payment request yet but I expect that will come tonight.

I have always been a fan of this design. I hope this figure finally does it justice.

For those that are interested, here is one English review by a great YouTube channel (Knerdout) - it is not recommended by them. Curious to know others’ impressions, but seems I won’t grab one...

Neither Toynami or CM's left the bar very high for their figures so to hear that this is worse, despite being made almost a decade after both, is really disheartening. Evolution Toys should just stick with their diecast magnet robots and leave the transforming stuff to the big dogs.
If only the third party TF companies would put their time and resources outside into other franchises, imagine what we would get.

I didn't think this toy would be as large as it actually is. But it is so disheartening that the QC blows. It's a shame that Evolution Toys didn't source a manufacturing factory that had high QC. The toy looks fantastic though. Maybe as a cool fragile statue. lol
The plastic looks so cheap that it will be brittle in a few years.

I really had hope for this toy. The look for Soldier looks good, but a shame there are so many issues with it.
If this hits the bargain bin for 50.00 or less, them I’ll get one to repai and customize.
Message to ET: I love your efforts, but your execution is terrible.
