Hi guys, quick question - there is a premium edition Roy Focker getting released at July, whats the difference between that and the normal one? All I can think is the paint finish, thanks guys!

I agree. I wasn't impressed with the 1/48. Still have yet to open my HMR. But let's face it I got those two only because I couldn't get this. Thank you Arcadia!

Anyone snatch up a Milia Super VF-1J non-Premium for ¥15280 from Nippon Yasan during their sale early Feb? I'm surprised these didn't sell as well as expected, perhaps the fault of the Premium Versions, but I finally got mine. Gonna wait on Max now see if it drops in price ahead of Premium release.

I saw the sale. Too bad I already had mine.
I wouldn’t count on seeing the same kind of sale on Max, as supply of Max has been drying up slowly and surely. Good luck on he hunt!

I'm surprised these didn't sell as well as expected, perhaps the fault of the Premium Versions, but I finally got mine. Gonna wait on Max now see if it drops in price ahead of Premium release. I apologize if this has been covered...but, I have generally passed on Arcadia releases because I was pretty much a completist with Yamato's Macross toys back when they were still in business. The toys released by the new guys are pretty much the same, right? I'm not really missing anything? |

They are more or less than same toys, except the Arcadia DYRL VF-1s are not in offwhite/grey anymore but bright white. So if you already have the whole squadron from Yamato I don't really see any reason to double dip. Arcadia did start releasing "premium version" of VF-1S and the M&M (and the SDF-1 too in a couple months). The premium version has a lot more tampo printing than the regular release but otherwise the exact same toy. Lastly, I think starting with the Milia release last year, they added some screw covers. I think that covers the differences. I'm just waiting for VT-1 re-issue and then I'm all good with my SDFM/DYRL collection. Outside SDFM/DYRL, Arcadia did a new mold for YF-19, which is fantastic. They also redid the VF-0 valkyries, which are also great. They're supposedly working on a new mold for SV-51. |

Aside from cosmetic differences (color differences, a few tampos added or removed) they are still the same toy. If I had all the Yamato V2 I would just skip these new Arcadia releases. Personally, I missed out during the Yamato V2 era and only have 2 of them, so I'm filling some holes with the new releases. The Premiums are at a price point that I don't feel is justified so I'm going with the regular releases as collectors sell them to upgrade to Premium. |

The Arcadia releases come with optional GAP FILLERS that didn't appear until the final year or so of Yamato releases. 2 for the torso by the "ribs" area, and 1 for the gap behind the neck, which has an alternate part with the pilot seat.  |
