So I was able to purchase the 3 piece Black edition ST Godsigma, Raideen and Combattra V collection. They are really awesome and thanks to Ed's advice on these. The information on these is elusive. I have only found this link which I am not sure is true or not. I have also heard that these were not approved by Bandai and were made from stolen molds which I do not believe is true due to the markings on the box. If anyone has further information I would love to hear it. Here is the link: www.toyboxdx.com/ramblearchive/r-9901.html

Very cool! Are the photos to scale or are the Combattra and God Sigma the same size?

Yeah they are really nice. They are both the same size. These are pictures from the web. I wish I knew how to upload my personal pictures. I have Raideen as well. Will try to find a picture of it online.

Yes, they are exactly the same ST size 6.5 inch tall toys as the Popy originals, with all details. I loved them. The matte finish, and quality is excellent!

Hi IronMonKey, I'm also struggling with uploading photos... I was recommended Flickr but when I tested inserting a photo and giving it Flickr link nothing showed up... its my recent thread "Denziman needs a lift"... oh well...

Make sure you put the HTML code in with the image link to embed.
Run a search on some of my old posts and on ones you see pictures in, reply with "quote" and you will see the image language I used. The only difference will be that at that time I was using Photobucket rather than flickr or imgur.
If you are still having image problems, I will try and help you this weekend.

So back to his original question, does anyone have more info to share on these other than the ToyBoxDX report?

So... out of sheer luck and a little bit of hunting I managed to find all 3 black chogokin in the past 2 weeks since IronMonkey posted his thread! Unreal... I guess its better to be lucky than good sometimes... but here are my impressions: God Sigma is the pick of the litter... hands down the best looking in all black. The white "diamond" in the chest is a nice touch and the big black sword looks really evil. The shape makes it look the most "demonic" in matte black. Love it! BTW what color is the Gem in God Sigma's chest in the STD popy version? I saw one with green gem on ebay on an Italian version so just curious. Combattra -- a personal favorite since childhood -- looks a bit out of proportion in the STD version... the legs are too skinny... but the amber plastic pieces combine well with the matte black. Unfortunately some steel plates in the leg and a rivet for the knee joints are not in black... I don't own the normal STD combattra so this one is a nice complement to the DX. I think the matte black looks cooler than the normal STD probably. For some reason the legs join the torso via magnet (in one piece with the feet)... I guess its just a homage to the DX because it doesn't form a separate vehicle. I didn't know that about the STD version until now... Reideen... I'm a little disappointed... I can't get past the cheap looking clear/white plastic that they chose to put on his head for the cockpit. Black would have been better, blue or amber (like the normal STD and Gold Version have respectively)would have been much better. Without any gold trim or other colors the clear plastic "head piece" draws your eyes like a magnet to it... and because its clear the reflections makes it look white in places where it attaches to the metal and has flat underlying surfaces. Not a nice effect. If I thought I could switch the cockpit out without breaking the plastic or scratching Reideen I might be tempted to do so... I guess that's blasphemy for a collector but I feel determined to make him better somehow... BTW the clear cockpit doesn't look as annoying in God Bird mode for some reason, must be that my brain says a clear cockpit is correct for a vehicle. BTW this Reideen is an exact copy of the GA-09, not the GA-09R (so its the "short version" and cockpit plastic wraps around). Anyway, if you like Reideen you will be happy getting your hands on one but my advice is get God Sigma if you have to choose! And thanks again to IronMonkey for the inspiration!

If somehow Bandai ever chose to do this again I wish they would make a Black Grendizer, Battle Fever, and Gaiking. Would be really cool. Anyone else have candidates?

So here they are Men In Black IV: These are without any processing... Reideens.... You see what I mean about the clear plastic.... like a big plastic pimple on his glorious black forehead! A little filter for a nicer image tone.... enjoy!

Does the godsigma come with the leg missiles or any other weapons?

My thought on these is that they were one-day licensed Wonderfestival toys. So the stickers on the box should show approval.
Let me know what dates are on the stickers.

Does the godsigma come with the leg missiles or any other weapons? Hi, it comes with black leg missiles and the leg doors fold down for the missile bay. The "daggers?" that attach to the shoulders are removable and supposed to be weapons. So that and the big sword. I guess its the same as the STD.

There is a another tiny sticker on the bottom left corner on the top of the box. It has a triangle, Japanese text and 21 on it. You can see it in the box cover from the OP's link.

From the research I have done it is either 1998 or 199.
