It's finally official, GX-39R baikanfu (Renewal Ver.). Aside from the modifying the head, changing the yellow color parts to gold and making the waist a little fatter, plus having 2 shoulder pads behind the shoulders, money still goes to Sentinel. They even changed Kenryu's color to light blue, which is not the color in the anime. IMO, the GX-39 really is one of Bandai's most ugliest SOC. Is like they didn't have any heart when making it. The openings you see in the hand, the skinny waist, etc. The only value I see is Rom, Leina, and the mountain that comes with the GX-39 pack. What do you guys think? And how many of you are buying this or Sentinel's Baikanfu?   Source with more photos:

I already have GX-39 and happy with it. And also I don't have a good reason to get this renewal version. As for the Sentinel's version, I'm not fond of the design.

I am a huge fan of Baikanfu. I already have the reg GX39. I might buy both the renewel version and sentinel.

I sold the first version to get this since it has the improvements and that was already a great piece. I think Baikanfu is one of the best SOC's that Bandai made so I'm definitely getting this. I don't like the look of the Sentinel version.

I like the new head sculpt better than the original. But since I already have the original I will skip this and get the sentinel.
I hate the light blue color of Kenyru.

I think the changes they made are pretty cool! Even making the shoulders look less low was a neat touch and making the waist thicker is an excellent modification. I disagree in it being the most disappointing SOC, you have to remember this toy was originally released 10 years ago and was pretty damn good toy for it's time. I still think it holds up today. Nevertheless, if you don't like it go for the Sentinel one.

Hard to tell from the low resolution pictures, but Rom and Leina might have new faces? I hope so, because the original had kind of gummy looking faces.

Tempted to burn my Wallet for such small changes...
Sentinel already preordered, good time for comparo and review,
and I hope Sentinel will come with a BlueJet and Driller,
Artstorm and ActionToys releases were a bit disapointing.

I'll get one of these since its being reissued and fixed so the price should be cheaper than buying later. I still like the Sentinel version better though.
