Finally got my SoC Dancouga Renewal and I have to say,I like how the Sentinel handles itself better overall.
Granted you would have to be more careful with the Sentinel but the SoC really shows its age and the engineering is definitely a huge step down from the Sentinel.
The individual modes do look better balanced especially the Eagle Fighter but the left wing of my Eagle Fighter is for some reason loose and can hardly keep itself up.
Yeah........I may sell the figure sometime in the future to pay off future debts.

I like mine especially since head issue is fixed with the extra head. Didn't have any problems and glad I just got rid of the discoloring original.

Yes it's little long. I was wondering if I could push the head down myself. I'm just glad it stays on. The neck attachment could have been thicker.

Yeah......I wonder if it is because of how old the mold is but everrything else works just fine. In fact, the elephant feet on the arms of Big Moth are a pain to get out the first time.

In fact, the elephant feet on the arms of Big Moth are a pain to get out the first time. People keep telling me to use Future Polish but that's the problem with asking these types of questions, unless you're in NA you always get specific products that aren't sold anywhere near your corner of the earth so you're really none the wiser. I think it's an acrylic floor polish but I can't find anything here that falls under that specific category either.

Though I think it is more a problem with the pin not quite filling in said hole and being loose there.

I think there's really no way to "fit" the old head on the old style; I think it just sits there without any sort of a solid connection.
The instructions do tell you how to use the new head's neck peg with the old head tho.

I am a bit disappointed that the actual Eagle Fighter more or less still uses partsforming of those small arms just to turn into the head of Dancouga.
It is much less of a hassle to use the new head and have Eagle Fighter be a separate piece to mess around with.
Man,I really really wished Bandai went with SoC Ideon instead. Maybe sometime in the future......

You don't need to remove the arms to turn it into the head. I tried this method and found the conncetion to be reasonably solid - the downside is that there is no neck articulation, so using the new piece really is a must. I did also try it with both the new and the old head and I don't know what I did but I actually did manage to push the transforming head down deep enough to not get a giraffe neck so it actually looks pretty good. Man,I really really wished Bandai went with SoC Ideon instead. Maybe sometime in the future...... Unless they fix the shoulder issue, you probably might as well get the original.

The plastic ratchets need an upgrade and I would like some plastic treads if possible. Also the tab connecting the two halves of Ideo Delta I think should be bigger as well.

you sure you didnt break it bro Yes, I'm sure. Apparently there's no way to avoid the giraffe syndrome with the new head. The socket isn't as deep on it as it is in the transforming head

The socket isn't as deep on it as it is in the transforming head sad thing honestly, i feel that i paid more for an old release with just a new head not to mention they had alot of room to improve the figure but they just didn't

Yeah, I get what you mean. The new head is one of the big selling points and it doesn't fit properly. I gotta admit, I don't even like the face on it as much as the old head.
However, we're still getting a brand new toy, not necessarily brand new engineering - so as such I'm pretty happy with this. Except for that stupid floppy Eagle Fighter wing. F*** that thing.
