My MC SF parcel is moving to my house guys. Definitely not at Trans-Am speed though *cough* (more like Guntank's speed) As long as it doesn't get shot down by colony laser along the way....=)

Ok so here is my brief review on this thing : Main body is solid, all joints are tight so far. I got some minor scratches on the left side of the chest where the shoulder armor front flap rubbed against it, but it's on black so not super noticeable. Otherwise only other flaw I found was slight gap discrepancy on the forearm swivel joint, where you can visibly see the gap is different between the two arms. Interestingly the shoulder joint is a hybrid metal /plastic joint, with a metal peg and plastic sleeve coming in contact with the metal clamping parts from the shoulder. Crotch and knee joints are metal on metal. I think basically everything from the Bandai version is replicated, including the knee bend sliding parts as well as the minute movement of the calf thruster flaps when the leg reaches full 180. Overall very solid main body, very close to the Bandai. However, the problems come in the backpack, accessories and seam lines. From the pictures you can see seam lines on the railgun, especially near the joints. Some you can press tighter, but some are as far as they will go and don't close completely. Same issue, particularly bad with the wings on the left side of the backpack. Near the hinge the whole thing is split open... Have to be careful moving that since the joint is quite tight... But the seam is quite wide. Also on the top of one of the rifles. Basically the tolerances on these plastic parts were not very good... A bit sloppy on their part. The dragoons don't fit very well... They were not fully installed when I received the package, and even when I tried to push them all the way in there is still a very clear gap on several, especially the small ones. Fitment is not great, but may not be a huge issue especially if you are planning on displaying with Wing of Light and dragoons in deployed mode. Almost feels like different factories made them. For me the biggest flaw is the backpack joint seam, since it is so wide. The others I can accept. WoL is pretty decent, not as beautifully gradient and sparkly as the original and the pattern on the transparent film I find slightly wonky, but it does the job quite well. Overall a solid release, most of the flaws are not obvious and of the seam line variety. Paint apps are generally pretty good. However in terms of QC this feels like a slight step down from their 00 Gundam releases... Hopefully they will resolve as newer batches get produced. Is it worth 130 usd (shipping included) that I paid for it? Yup, especially if you want a SF you can feel ok displaying out in the open. Is it worth 150, or 180 that GMC is now asking for it? Maybe... But at that price point I'd get anything MoShow puts out and it would be much better quality. But if you don't want to drop 5-600 bucks on a Bandai SF, this is a good alternative if you can accept the QC issues... Or wait longer to see if they sort some of these issues out, and maybe the price drops back down. I'd say at 150 it's a pretty decent buy for 85-90% of the Bandai. From a distance I doubt you'd be able to tell. I'll have to find some time to pull out the Bandai to do some side by side comparison shots. -BTW you can balance it to stand on its own quite well.

You can also display the dragoons in this mode, since it hides the fitting issues Metal Gear has... By the way, do people sell custom theme like the one below? This Noir-ish theme looks so badass

By the way, do people sell custom theme like the one below? This Noir-ish theme looks so badass I believe they originally planned to, but the person who did that color scheme wanted to negotiate ridiculous royalties for its use... So the only one they are releasing is that white pearlescent with sapphire accents that you can already see preorder for on Taobao.

Damn. Even if GMC charges me 200 bucks for that pile of Noir-ish SF, I'd happily pay. Tbh I don't think GMC is into niche stuffs.

Thanks for the review. My biggest problem with the bandai release is that the swivel at the wings gets loose, and I HAVE to use the WoL display to prop the wing up. And I don’t know any way to tighten them up. How do the wings feel?

And I don’t know any way to tighten them up. How do the wings feel? Wings are pretty tight. The swivel at the base connection to the backpack is TOO tight, so have to be careful when trying to bend the whole wing assembly backwards. The swivels to swing the wings upward are looser but still tight, and they hold position. Will have to see what happens over time though but definitely tighter than Bandai.

Got my MC SF. Can confirm what leeboo said: The dragoons don't fit nicely into its wings. Joints are tight. Color quality is very good (I have trouble identifying which SF is Bandai's). The railguns parts cant fold 100%
The bottom line is just several minor QC issues, but overall very solid kit.

Where did you guys order this from? The lowest I've found so far has been $199USD + $30 shipping.

I got mine last weekend. It's damn solid, and at least at this point it seems the dragoons and backpack don't seem to have the issues some people are reporting. Certainly a better buy than the Bandai version.
