Definitely skippable considering the Metal Gear strike freedom sometime soon. I have the Bandai Metal Build SF next to my MG SF on shelf. I'm convinced to put the MG SF away just because I can't stand the original design anymore. Meanwhile, the MG Freedom 2.0 doesnt lose any of its beauty vs the new MB kids in town lmao

Agreed. While waiting for the metal gear SF I may just get the Daban MB style SF to tide me over just for fun...the MB style just looks so much more alive, while the original MG looks chunky flat and bland in comparison.

Those seam lines.... I hope this is not final product. Does the EX-S or the Nu Gundam seam line this bad??

No the Ex-S is pretty much impeccable...not sure about the Nu but I don't dig the non Ver Ka designs they have in this line...but general consensus has mostly been not worth the price.
Also recently got the Mk.V marking plus version and it looks pretty awesome too, fantastic details. I just personally find all the non Ver.Ka products in this line to be way too simplified and not high quality enough to justify the price.

They try to sell you by saying it's animate style, match the original, brings back memories all that crap, but nope, i can't stand it. lol (but i did say the same thing on the MRS 00... )

Haha I feels you I can’t stand the head sculpt. One other chines reviewer got a copy where the two printed lines of the mouth were off diagonally and it looked like the Gundam was doing this =/ it’s hilarious.

But I ended up buying it anyways due to their announcement of MR Infinity Justice.

It is kinda of odd, I don't like the Strike Freedom very much. The suit design is pretty much the same as the Freedom but overpowered. No real originality with suit and the same can be said for the entire series. But the minute Bandai announced the the Infinity Justice I felt the need to buy the Strike Freedom. I wouldn't enjoy the Infinity Justice any less by itself and wished they released it first. For some reason I needed the pair, the Infinite Justice would be missing something. Like missing a saber handle or blade, nothing important but it is incomplete without it.

That abdominal cannon just ruins the Strike Freedom design for me. It looks more awkward with that beam effect attached to it. On a certain angle, it just looks like a big swollen appendage. They could have forgone that and still equipped the SF with the shoulder cannons instead just like the original Freedom.

I got a MB Strike Freedom w/ WOL and happy with it - this looks incredible as well! I know that they are 1/144 - how's the quality and feedback for those who owns this?
Or should I just stick w/ Metal build
Cheers!

I feel that the MB version is much better, but there's no MB I Justice announced yet. Which is why I'm getting the MR Strike Freedom in the first place , so it can pair up with the upcoming MR Infinity Justice. I also really like the colorful effect parts for this WOL set. maybe the effects parts for the funnel/bits can fit on the MB version too.

It should only be in that shape/form if it's a ROCKET.

It would look very cool to pair him up with IJ. Made up my mind and will just go with the MB line - must resist, must resist and save money Hoping to Bandai will release a MB IJ soon

Or should I just stick w/ Metal build Cheers! I picked up the Metal Robot version since I don' have the Metal Build version. It is a good figure, Bandai did a nice job with the paint applications and decals at this smaller scale. It is lighter than I was expecting but that isn't a bad thing. The backpack is all plastic and the joints are able to hold the "wings" easily. The metal joints for the elbows and knees balance the toy out nicely. I appreciate that Bandai included the clear display for the dragoons deployed. If they didn't the toy would have been overpriced. And the dragoon connections are solid, no fear of them falling off. There are comprises at the smaller scale. You have to remove a back thruster to mount the toy on the clear display with the dragoons deployed. The tab on the rifles are noticeable and my copy has a few minor paint flaws. Since you have the MB version all ready I won't recommend buying the MR version. The MB version is still going to be the best version and you are probably better off hoping/waiting for a MB Infinite Justice.
