Damned near the best looking Prime I've ever even seen.

My Prime is shipped out from D4 Toys, but its taking its sweet time travelling from China, and now in Japan. Probably won't make it here until another week or two after travelling around the world.

Prime arrived. Don't have time to try out most things, just fiddle a bit with the main figure. Engineering is really good, as expected from this line. But I have to say the fit and finish is a step down from Tarn. On my copy, there are inconsistent tightness on many joints, looser on one knee, shoulder, arm swivels, ankles...etc but not the other. They are overall still decently tight, but still disappointing when they are inconsistant in quite a few, not just one or two. Diecast joint parts sometimes have random scuffs or chipped surface. Paint job is nice and clean, but with one or two parts having a rougher finish.
Still an amazing piece, but it didn't come as perfect as Tarn, as if QC took a hit.

It seems that the knee QC issue is an unfortunate & a recurring one.

9:25 It seems that the knee QC issue is an unfortunate & a recurring one. Thanks for pointing that out. I got the same knee being looser, but not as 'floppy' as the one in video yet due to being brand new. Though knowing its issue, makes me conscious on not moving the looser joints as much to wear them out prematurely.

The inconsistency on the joints is same as Star Saber it seems. No worries. I will take this baby.

Joint tightness consistency is one of Sentinel's staple, and is evident in most of my Sentinel stuff. Kind of sad to see they are losing that edge in the latest releases. Prime also seem to be lighter than Tarn. You still see and feel some of the diecast (mostly exposed joints), but is a bit of a lightweight in comparison. Though the weapon accessories are much better on Prime, especially the exclusive giant Axe. Really big and cool! There are a few square-tab holes on Prime. I imagine it may be for the 'Michael Bay Movie Prime' inspired Jetpack Add-on coming later. It will sure look badass, but hope the looser joints are strong enough to hold and not buckle upon the added weight. Is Starsaber pretty heavy? I assume so due to the bulk. Looks like a TF with a fastpack.

Now some very neat things Flame Toys did on Prime that made it shines: - Painted silver eyes that let LED glows through when light gimmick is on, very thoughful. - Tons of opening flaps on shoulders and multi joint system let the arm swing up and sideway at ridiculous angles and not let things get in the way. - Spring loaded forearm armor let you swivel arms in different orientations to get different arm silhouettes (you'll know it when you have it in hand). - Extra lower forearm & wrist joints that let the forearm and hands curves even more, while moving the inner forearm pistons. Clever! - Synchronized hip armor skirts move out of the way automatically when you rotate waist swivel, as if its alive. - Ridiculously beautiful and complex synchronized knee bend. (Though your left knee is most likely looser) - Complex multi jointed ankles for ridiculous rocker poses. - Very smart button placement for the eyes and chest LEDs, hidden in plain sight! - Spring loaded backpack slot for slotting in the gun. - That exclusive giant axe....awesome clear yellow parts...the look...and the size! This Prime has a lot of good toy engineering and thinking behind it. If it is not hindered by some iffy QC, it could have been the 'perfect' Prime for some folks. Putting it next to my MP10 made my MP10 look so dopey, which I had never imagined, as I love my MP10.

Saw this on youtube, wow how is that possible for a 400 dollar figure? The left knee on mine is looser, so is ToysTV's review sample. But it is not THAT loose, not even close. If you look at this guy's channel's first leg video, the left knee was actually tight, while the right is loose. He then made 2 more videos with both legs got much worse. I think he just purposely wear down the joints to film more videos and to make his point.

Usually, only D4Toys and toyshows orders come with the exclusive accessories, so its kind of a given of not having them elsewhere.
