I am having issues collapsing the Transforming Chest Piece for this figure.
I have watched every video and everything to see if I am doing this right but the thing keeps popping out one place or another.

I am having issues collapsing the Transforming Chest Piece for this figure. I have watched every video and everything to see if I am doing this right but the thing keeps popping out one place or another. Make sure you have the joint I highlighted pushed forward before collapsing the rest of the joints. Otherwise, it won't fold in properly. Hopefully, that solves the issue. rsz_img_20180831_114433179 by sup3rhobo, on Flickr Ah yes Sal, the same dude who still believes SOC Voltron's black lion legs do not lock in place in combined mode SMH. Once again, he misses a bunch with the dragonzord like the ab-crunch, the ball jointed and hinged ankles, the thigh swivels and the limited later movement of the hips. The legacy one is a fine toy for $80, but it just looks doughy and cartoony next to the sharper SOC. One thing I hated about the legacy was the battle mode's face being visible every time you open the mouth. It was always an awkward "oh hi there" moment. Where the SOC shines the most is the combined mode engineering with the locking mechanisms it has in place to keep things solid. The legacy's efforts mirror the vintage toy engineering and with all of the extra weight of the diecast it's very sloppy. The legacy one has no locking mechanism for the calves to go into and the sides in poncho mode just kind of hang there on a loose friction joint. Sal says no one is going to display the dragonzord in it's alternate combined modes? Really? Does the Ultrazord not exist? Battle mode is a hell of a kickass mode too!

Still not working for me as the handle still juts out. It cannot stay flat.

Yeah. I positioned it the same way and for some reason it still is a pain.

Yeah. I positioned it the same way and for some reason it still is a pain. Hmmm that's weird. Is there some excess plastic flash that needs to be cutoff? Hopefully you can find the issue.

So mine shipped out of Japan on 8/2 via SAL and still no updates. Looks like most folks who went that option on this board already received it. At what point should I be worried?

I was messing with dragonzord some more and I found another swivel joint on the forearm.

Got this in today. Man it's crazy but I thought I would be least interested in megadragonzord(sorvergien daizyujin) but I was wrong and imo the best part of this piece. All 6 zords combined, it feels amazing and is very heavy(heavier then voltron but then again we're talking about 2 separate socs combining). Dragoncaesar could of been a little taller, but then again bandai probably compensated the proportions for it to combine with daizyujin properly. Still a pretty welcomed soc of the dragonzord.

I unboxed my Dragonzord today. What can I say? It's AWESOME!! The SoC is LIGHTYEARS ahead of the Legacy.
The details, the shine, the sleek sculpt - it's GORGEOUS. But what I REALLY LIKE are the combination modes with Daizyujin. This adds so much to the GX-72. One SoC = Excellence. TWO SoCs COMBINED = COMPLETELY FU**ING AWESOME!! The SIZE...the HEFT... the HULKING MASS - it's EPIC! It's not perfect - the Super Dragon Megazord is definitely top heavy. But the display is stunning!
Okay, Bandai... bring on TITANUS! And remind us one more time while you'll always be king when it comes to Sentai robots.

earlier today i finished photographing this figure, what a challenge lol, here is my thoughts about it
i like it but i think it could be better than this, all off the joints should be diecast, also a better way to swap the fist, swapping fist is a real challenge and the joint are plastic so its risky if you dont know where to press, an articulated fist (fingers) should be better
the chrome is really cool but you need to keep your microfiber cloth near you
Gouryuuzin (Dragon Zord in battle mode) looks absolute stunning but its more like a statue you cant do alot of poses with him
the Zyutei Daizyuzin (Mega Dragon Zord) is LEGENDARY but the weight distribution is making it very unstable dont get me wrong it stands fine, but you feel the figure is going to fall, if you try to move it make sure you are holding it with both hands, i really dont recommend displaying it in this mode because there is alot of stress on the legs, however posing the GX-72 and the GX-78 together is something else, it very awesome
lastly i recommend picking this figure up if you have the GX-72, if you dont have the GX-72 then you should pick both of them lol, they are really the best incarnation of the characters in the market today, every MMPR need them in his \ her collection
EDIT
forgot to mention this figure also had some extra oil on it i mean WTF is wrong with Bandai ? do their QCs testers eat on top of this figures ?

At long last my Dragonzord arrived a few days ago. It took about 6 weeks when it left Japan via SAL. It was a loooong wait but it arrived. The shipping box had a hole in it but miraculously it was the side that had some newspaper padding on the inside. If it was the opposite side, it would've punctured the item box. Also lucky it arrived when it did because my friend literally just dropped of GX-78B that he got for me from SDCC. Won't get a chance to play with these for a little bit but just glad they're in hand.

Just formed Gouryujin yesterday and that's great as a display piece. Can't really move much due to dragon caesers feet. I do like the height however. Alittle shorter then Golion. Zyutei Daizyujin(mega dragonzord)still is the best part impo.

You all need to post more pictures! This thing is gorgeous in hand. I didn’t expect to like it this much. It’s heavy too, so much so it rivals Voltron in the weight department in battle mode. You're right, Buddy. I wasn't going to bother posting these because the placement of the head crest is messed up... but what the heck? We need to document the AWESOMENESS of this SoC!Instagram robots_are_art

Great pictures! I wish I have a proper camera and lighting setup! JUST in case you didn't already know, in battle mode, his eye piece slides down a little more for a even better look! I was amazed at how heavy it is in battle mode! I can't wait to form mega dragonzord! It'd be huge! You pics make me look forward to it even more.
