I think we are grossly underestimating the sales of GX-72. To my eye it actually looks like a very strong performer. Just not quite as insanely strong as GX-71. It has had steady sales. It’s continued availability is more down to a larger production run then it not selling well. There are a few key tells to it doing well sales wise. It has never dropped to discount pricing. During a span when GX-73 and 74 both have. Repeatedly. It feels like it is selling better than GX-68 GaoGaiGar as well. While not an instant sellout like Voltron, It feels like it will sell out a little before its expected EOL. Don’t gauge sales too much by the skeptical Power Rangers collectors initially balking at the price. They are new market growth. New customers. The need for building Word of Mouth was part of it with them. But they are customers that have not been buying SOC’s Up until now. I do think Bandai likely cost themselves some sales by slightly overpricing this one. Somewhere in the $268-280 range would have been the sweet spot. Same price point as GGG. In regards to the GX-72 never dropping to discount pricing, yes it has. It went down to $171 on Amazon. Just saying. |

I don't think people think it'll be cancel, but merely won't be released with a power ranger logo, that's all.

Have they announced if the Dragonzord will be getting a U.S release box? I forgot when the announced the Megazord was going to get different packaging but I thought it was close to release date.

Looks like bluefin is selling this already at SDCC. See some dude selling this on eBay for $400. 😜
I might have to ask friend to snag one if they are available still but I can just wait for the release.

I really hope Bandai put some of their real magic into this toy and it's not a slightly better version than the legacy version. |
