Thankfully I have all the cyborgs I want. I just got walder II magma this morning to complete? my collecting for now! Unless takara reissue satan king and plant man kaijin sets i'll be happy with what I have:

Well, you can all see my collection on the board, but it’s fun to list them all anyway.

Yes, I've lost my mind and my wallet. All I want now is a PLant Man Vinyl, and Blue Shonen cyborg and that's it for me. Oh yeah a stealth NHC but those are too expensive.
My income is usually about $600-$1000 canadian a month, I really shouldn't buy any of this stuff! The last two months I got big cheques. Of course how could I regret these wise investments?

either
a) to sell sometime in the future, offsetting my initial purchase price
or
b) to give my son a set and keep some tucked away in the loft for best.
not decided yet, we'll see how the bank balance looks after the christmas spending spree.

I did list them all, Johnny! I wish I had a zillion but I have 2 Shonens (blue and gold), 2 KWJrs (green and yellow) and the Dokuroking Jr.
That confrontation set comes up on YJ a lot but I was lucky enough to find one on Ebay and I was the only bidder. Before I got it, I passed up a chance to get the unreleased "Evil" head (they did a very limited run of heads only in bags). Now I have a blue KW2 I wish I had that rare Evil head!
I still wish I had:
a PPFM (any I just like the bald head)
Satake 99 (he appears less and less on YJ so I'll probably never get one)
the 3 vintage Invaders (especially J)
the 3 vintage Android As (especially Chojin)
I think they might be reissuing the Jaguar. I never pined for one, but if it's reissue price I'll get one.

Wow Evil head!!! I saw some websites with this figure, I figured it was by someone who worked at Takara! Was the head blue, or clear? wow, its amazing the difference that clear plastic makes to a figure, i barely recognised the magma and general heads atall. The photographs of the unreleased 4th head type for shadow walder (shown on card in walder99 boxes) depict something really weird which is hard to make out but appears unhuman unlike the other three.

Interesting site find, Johnny! They look a bit like something from "Dusk 'Til Dawn" or a youth training scheme.
The one on the left is the "Evil" head to which we refer, Muton59938. Originally there were to be 4 KW2 figures: the 2 we know (General and Magma) plus "Evil", who was blue with big pointed ears and "Shadow", who was smoked black with a weird, inhuman head. I've only seen pictures and the Shadow head looks like maybe it's a bigger version of the interior chicken head brain. Takara never released Evil and Shadow, goodness knows why. But they did a very limited run of bagged heads. I can't remember how many but they did red and purple tinted versions of Neo and 99 heads and clear, colourless versions of General, Magma and Evil heads. Not Shadow for some reason. You got one coloured Cyborg head and one clear Walder head per bag. To my knowledge, this was the only time part of the Evil figure was available in any form.
I had a chance to get the Evil head once; Masato had the bagged heads but I was poor at the time and had no spare figure to display one on. Later I got the "Confrontation" set (I didn't know that was what it was called, Johnny) and wished I had the Evil head, but I would have had to display it clear, a bit like vintage blue Walder with his clear head, or I could have totally destroyed its value by tinting it blue (I probably would have done the latter).
I can't remember what I paid for the Confrontation set. it was either $100 or $200. I'll consult my records.

My confrontation set was $100 plus $25 postage; a bargain. In fact, the auction completed with no bids and I did a naughty post-auction transaction, from what I remember.

Hey - I just won a Stealth Mode Hyper Hobby Neo Cyborg on yahoo japan for 2800Yen ($25 US)! I never thought I'd win it. It just went for $100 US on ebay last week. You can find NHC cyborgs for $8 not infrequently, and I picked up a couple. Even with the commission and shipping inside japan etc (adds up to about $20) it's still good deals, plus there are things you'll never find. Lately on ebay the prices have gone really high on cyborgs and NHC's. A red and a blue NHC each went for $50 recently "buy it now", a used smoke went for $40, and those cheapo alien invaders vinyls that you can't even chop up to make costumes are selling two for $50 so far.
They have Dr. Goris for 5500 yen siting ther unsold for weeks, meanwhile it sold on ebay for $155!
I now officially have I think every cyborg I ever wanted that is available (no vintages! I'd buy a yellow walder if it comes out), although I could use another blue99 because the one I have is currently wearing a Lion Maru costume. Most of them are in transit from Japan, and one package apparently arrived this morning.
I think my cyborg spending days are over, at least for a while! The only thing I want is the "evil" head, which I've never seen and don't expect to come up anytime soon, and probably won't win if I bid! Good timing, I have something important to spend money on coming up in the enxt few months.
WHile I won't be buying, hopefully I'll get my hands on a digital camera which I need for my project and will use it for cyborg stories!
ANyways, hooray for me I guess.

Nice find, Johnny! Of all the NHCs, that's the one I'd like most, apart from PPFM of course. I expect NHC prices will rise now that a few years have passed since production.
I will always want more Cyborgs and related stuff, I think. I'd love some of those vintage figures. YJ has a lot of weird stuff not made by Takara, like alternative "secret base" heads. I'd love them but each would need another figure in order to display.
Yes, the Evil head would be a bit of a find. I wish so much that I could have bought it when I had the opportunity, but I was so poor in those days. Good luck finding one!

as for my neo collection Johnny H. knows this.
I have doubles of all the non exclusives. One open and one in the box save a red one that the box was water damaged in a move.
I have two shadow,yellow. and gao gai gar figs
and one of the stealth ,copper,gun metal. and the BBI Cy-com figures that has the neo body.
I have all the arm attachments and the gold Cy-suit
wishing I could find the silver and black suits
and let's not forget my Aqua Neo henshin custom
I also have the neo 99 Siver and gunmetal. but want the walders and the green 99 and blue W as well as the PPFM exclusives for the neos.
yea right like that's going to happen

I hope the Stealth one is in good shape! I'll get it later in the mail. THe ad said of the not yet opening condition" but it looked a little yellowy although I think that was just the photo. If it's new like it says, what a deal! I also had to pay $12 commission and $6 shipping inside japan, btut its still pretty good!
I just made a custom smoke NHC. I painted all the inside parts black because I didnt like the silver. Ill try to put some photos up later.

hi I have just joined the forum & this is my first posting I have just taken my cyborgs out of the loft where they have been stored since I played with them back in the 70s, they were my favourite toys . my collection is small but consits of the following denys fisher british cyborgs : cybo-invader & interceptor cybo-interceptor cybo mobile cyborg muton android lots of weaponry & subform suits but alas most are incomplete due to my tom boy sister who prefered them rather than her barbies. I am now on the search for the missing arms, feet & missiles I am sure they will be in some other boxes in the loft.  |
