Another view of SOC FA Voltes V: Looks to be 6-7 inches tall. Hmm, if that size, why not just make it SRC then? What makes Bandai use the " Soul of Chogokin" branding for this FA lineup instead of "Super Robot Chogokin"? There has to be a reason. Personally, I want my Voltes, Zambot, and Daimos to transform/combine for the price of SOC. If scaled and priced like SRC, I am willing to trade that gimmick for articulation. The branding strategy seems strange to me. Hope more will be revealed soon.

However, by using the Soul of Chgokin name, Bandai can adjust the price and fetch even more due to the SOC brand. And by doing so, the original Soul of Chogokin's value can be adjusted too and sell more. It's like killing two birds with one stone. At least that's how I see it. I think SRC still has a lot of potentials. However, it has been far too quiet and we haven't seen any new announcements since Great Mazinkaiser. So it's either the SRC is coming to an end or SOC FA will be the new SRC. I'm happy with a 'full action' Daimos, I can much play around with. I just feel they could have continued it with the SRC line.

Bandai figured that just putting a "SOC" tag/monicker on it adds prolly at least 3000y to it, instead of just sticking with the usual SRC monicker...

I think Bandai is using Soul of Chogokin as it has some few die cast parts on it but made it cheaper as it wasnt transforming/combining. Instead its going to be a fully articulated robo figure. But at the same time raising the price range for their Chogokin products.

"SOC-FA" looks and sounds awful and generic as naming conventions goes. They really shoulda just call this new line: SOC Obariinstead...

First, Its awsome that Bandai SOC is giving us full action SOCs for combo robots! many of us been asking for this.
But looking at some of these photos, I'm little scared that Bandai is taking WAY too much artistic license with the design... I want a source accurate sculpt on SOCs.... On SRCs maybe you can take some liberties as you been taking, but NOT on SOCs please! Come on!
BTW, Good point on "Obari" treatment. Not a huge fan of Obari....

Yep, need a Daimos and Combattler like this, too. oh man! A super dynamic poseable Daimos - wow! I'm quite puzzled on why Bandai hasn't done a SRC Daimos since its based the robot is based on Dynamic moves! That would be really awesome for the trio to get a SRC treatment! Hahahaha! Looks amazing..i just quoted myself! Never thought it would happen this soon!!!! This looks good..they look like metal build soc versions..

well im greedy so i still want another shot at the GX-43 Daimos, a reissue or even better an R version
and guys lets not gave them ideas about the prices, seriously you are shooting your self in the foot by giving any numbers (specially high numbers)
i think (hope) this will be in the price range of the SRCs, hopefully it will come loaded with accessories as well

I came back to the thread expecting just Voltes and I see Daimos, Combattler and Zambot as well! I prefer transformation of course but these are too beautiful to pass up.

Bandai's been making a lot of weird decisions lately, so I'm not feeling too optimistic about accessibility for this line now that everyone's had their chance to speculate.

Tis exactly how I feel about the stylized look these things sport. If these were classic anime styled, at least to the same extent as the Dynamic Classics bots, I'd be all in, no further questions asked. But the way they are . . . I don't think I'll bite. Zambot, at least, looks good & classic to me; I just really hope it still looks that way when we get better pics/get closer to release.

I might getting Voltes V only from this new line. Not a big fan of Obari and having 2 figures of the same character. Have all the SOC versions.

If the scale is the same as the main SOC line this will be about my favorite thing ever from Bandai.

Not going to lie, Votes V DOES look good......
Please, keep Obari far away from robots he didn't design!! I will apologize to many many Obari fans if i offended, but isnt having different views makes what art great?

Interesting thing you guys are pointing out, the Obari style designs of these... makes me wonder if this SOC Full Action line is all Obari designed, similar to Ver.KA.

So they are effectively over glorified SRCs. Eh. I would have preferred they stuck to SRC, but that's just me
