I'm not worried about stability on this guy - if it's anything like HEAVY METAL Zero, it won't be the slightest issue. That thing has FEWTURE style, clicky ratchets that HOLD. There will be no shelf dives.

This looks like a weak figure for the money. This can't be worse than the Evolution Toys Super Metal Action Tetsujin 28. Because that definitely IS a weak figure for the money. That's $100 more than this one, smaller, has suspect/weak joints, and feels like a wannabe DX SOC tomato can. My Action Toys Tetsujin 28 cleared US customs yesterday and is in Los Angeles now. I'm expecting it to arrive by tonight or tomorrow. |

nope , the only DX SOC that don't have articulated fingers! these are costume made or I am messing something out.

Bandai were truly stupid with it, alot of short cuts and now i just learned no articulated fingers  the figure had alot going on i just didnt noticed that before
well at least i have DX Mazinger and Great Mazinger with articulated fingers, and im sure you know which finger i will give Bandai

there decision of not including articulated hands was very strange ! and also to eliminate the idea of having open panels on some of it's parts like the initial drawing designs have shown. it is still a very good figure which is fun to handle and play with. I do play with it with my kids. |

I was able to do a quick unboxing to inspect the contents, so this is not a full review. But more of my first initial thoughts. - The box is very premium feeling. It comes double boxed and encased in a black slip cover. There is plenty of styrofoam inside. This feels like a combination of the best of Hot Toys, FansToys, Soul of Chogokin products blended in one.
- At over a whopping 5 pounds, this thing is HEAVY. They weren't lying when they labeled this as "Heavy Metal."
- Build quality is tight and precise. I only own one other Action Toys product which is the EM Gokin Albegas, and the build quality to this feels just as tight as the EM Gokin Albegas. I did not notice any floppy parts or imperfections in paint. This Tetsujin 28 is BEAUTIFUL. Everything is solid. Nothing feels cheap nor rushed.
- Ratchets are loud and sound like machine gun fire. Wow!
- I paid close to $400 after shipping for this toy. And I feel like I received double the value of my hard earned money.
- I am looking forward to seeing the light-up eyes gimmick once I install some batteries.
- The paint is bright, colorful and vibrant. It really looks like how it does in photos.
- This piece is what I would have totally wished for in an SOC release. Up until this point, GX-44 was the best gokin Tetsujin 28 for me. But now this piece takes the crown.
- I'm a firm believer that Action Toys is as good or even superior to SOC quality and engineering.
- This piece makes the Evolution Toys Super Metal Action Tetsujin 28 look like such an inferior product. The comparison to this Action Toys vs the Evolution Toys versions are like comparing a DX SOC vs a Toynami Masterpiece robot.
- To confirm for Chogo, the head cannot look up. So a perfect flying mode cannot be achieved because there is no possible upward head motion on the neck joint.
I wish I didn't have to work tomorrow and could take a sudden vacation day or time off just to enjoy this figure. Yes, it is that good. I know Action Toys delayed this piece a few months, but I can proudly say it was worth the time waiting for it. I wasn't able to attach any accessories to it as I got home late this evening and was only able to unbox and inspect the contents.

I’d still buy this since I like Tetsujin. I do love that Blue color because that’s my favorite color and have a car that color.
How are the hip joints? The two videos made T28 little weary.
It’s shame that the some companies don’t provide more details for us buy these high price items. I didn’t know this had articulated fingers until later. It’s like guessing game sometimes.

how is the hip joints ? are they as bad as some people described ?
are the batteries included ? if not what size they are ?

Lol I had chance to get one this week but I spent the money on portable AC to help me sleep because of my allergies. 😂
As much as I love tetsujin he won’t help me sleep at night. Be great if neck joint was better.

The main focus of my collection is vintage Godaikins from my childhood. I’ve allowed myself two exceptions:
1) anything Voltron (my childhood favorite)
2) modern SOC figures that “speak” to me
I have been good about this so far. But, I’ll admit seeing this figure tempts me; I hope that Bandai will release a worthy competitor to this so I don’t break my rules 😀
Knowing myself, if i deviate I will expand to other lines; and I “can’t” allow that to happen 😇

so i keep my choices simple and clear

same here i only collect things from my childhood or things that have an awesome design
Bandai did gave us the classic GX44, but it was almost 9 years ago without even a reissue so honeslty i dont think they will do anything for it anytime soon (hope im wrong tho)

today i SAW my lovely T28 but i didnt managed to get it because we have a retarded custom
they charged me $50 in tax (even tho this is for personal use and SHOULDNT be under any tax) so i MUST pay it online i went to the bank to pay it because the system was down and the bill didn't appear
after while and ALOT of work they said the bill only appear after 24 hours after the print
so why the F**K the fool didnt tell me that ?
now i will have to wait till Sunday to be able to be able to collect it
wonderful day isn't it
