Thanks Cole for ruining all things Chogokin for me. Once you pick up Zero you will get let down from other brands offerings. ๐๐ Not sure where to display this hunk of metal now. Least I have another dumbbell to workout at home with. ๐ Lol! I try to explain the MAGNITUDE of HM ZERO - but I don't want to be pushy about it. Glad to see you took my advice and checked it out. The thing is utterly REDICULOUS. Definitely the most BAD ASS, MENACING and UTTERLY INSANE gokin I've EVER collected. I can't believe people are sleeping on this thing.... Yeah I totally get it and understand. I said same thing this is ridiculous and I workout often. You could kill somebody with this weapon. ๐ I wouldnโt have bought it myself but I took your word. Thanks Cole!

Ah yes, childhood memory of me dropping a gokin on my foot when I was little and tearing up cause it hurt like hell... and then freaking out that I might have just broke my toy only to realize later my toe was bleeding

i honestly thought Charles quit this hobby lol but i guess he was just busy
not sure what was the last figure he got from fewture, but fewture now provides an A class figures with very minimum to no QC issues, with decent engineering
unlike Bandai lol, funny how things change

I finally had time to unbox this bad boy.. and decided to snapped a few pics to share with everyone here. Initial impression is that it is a brick - very substantial and very heavy - almost too heavy :-) For those wanting to see how this compares to the original Chokinzoku (bandai godaikin version), here are a few pictures.
It's amazing how well the original sculpt holds up; In general, the over all look of the original is the best; the chest and waists look more muscular; where as the heavy metal sculpt is more lean.... when side by side, the large "28" on the lower forearm *really* stands out on the modern version. anyhow, I'm going to try to get some hands on time with the toy and perhaps I'll post longer term impressions.

I might actually get this if the price isnโt too bad. I am just going to pose it like that anyway. LOL Is there a release date and price in that picture?

Thank you!! I'm all over this. Just preordered. Now I don't have to cough up $1600 to buy a vintage Popy Jumbo Machinder Tetsujin 28. This one will do nicely!

Preordered one from a friend in HK. Did not like the: We might not have enough stock "provisional preorde"r BS from AmiAmi, yet it's 3 per account?? Not taking a chance. On a separate note, I think Action Toys only released this version to cover their licensing fees like they do with a lot of their releases. Not because the Heavy Metal version was a success. Could be wrong. As the Heavy Metal T-28 is a beauty...Still prefer my SG-01, but it's definitely close second for a modern rendition. This upcoming vinyl version reminds me of the Inspire version that came out 10 or so years ago. Although the inspire was more Jumbo-Machinder-size at 60 cms. (I think the upcoming Action Toys is smaller at 54). Still, we'll see but considering the lack of T-28 Toys (skinny ver), any releases are a must-have for T-28 'fans'..

trust me when i tell you, you are wrong the HM is a huge hit and the demand for it is crushing
it sold out everywhere, the prices now are crazy, from $570 up to $1000 and thats without shipping
if that aint a success then i dont know what is

Anyone have a reliable source to get one of these from? I am really interested and I know I will have to pay more for it now. I am just a little worried by some of the seller feedback scores I am seeing on eBay. If you can vouch for some of the eBay seller that would be appreciated too.
Thanks!
