I just gave into the dark side and preordered this Future Quest Albegas with Amiami. It's like going back to an ex-girlfriend that you know is no good for you. But you think it will be different "this time." The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different result. lol I'm just too big of a fan of this robot to sit on the sidelines and not have it. I really hope this toy does not suck, but I am willing to be an early guinea pig to find out. I love Albegas too much. I'm almost there... I have nothing against ET and I'm happy with the things I have from them. By the way it's looking great to me, I don't know how to post pictures but here is the link: www.gokin.it/2019/02/20/mostre-e-eventi-akihabara-radio-kaikan-arbegas-kosoku-denjin-arubegasu-grand-action-big-size-model

Bandai does Albegas.. why not keep ET's Albegas too... it will look cool as Alpha, Gamma, and Beta alternate modes... just like folks at the other Dairugger thread are saying they are keeping Miracle's version.. once Bandai's version comes out.

Here are my likes and dislikes: LIKES - They definitely went anime accurate with the color shade of the Beta (blue) robot.
- I do like the die-cast metal joints on the elbows, mid torso's and the upper thighs of the individual robots.
- Articulated fingers.
- Proportions in both forms (individual & combined) look good!
- These are probably the most satisfying photos I've seen of this set up to this point.
DISLIKES - The yellow visor isn't painted on the Alpha (black) robot's face. Does Evolution think that the silver visor is really the robot's eyes? lol Or did they just forget to paint it in this sample? (See my Robot Japan avatar for the yellow eye section.)
- Something seems lacking on the colored areas on the individual chests. They should have made those small areas translucent plastic.
- The exposed metal sections on the sides of the robot chests are kind of an eye-sore.
- It appears the plastic might be that crappy cheap plastic that Evolution Toys used for their Mospeada Legioss releases. I hope not.
- The hip joints on the individual robots seem really really thin and fragile looking. I hope this figure is not floppy in any way.
If the quality is decent, I will end up embracing this figure.

Been watching earlier photos and the visors are there. I can't say if it's a dark gold or they are of translucent yellow.

Yeah, Sculpt wise ET really is excellent.

other deal breaker would be the bigger height and the mini abega ships that comes with it. buts its a gamble for quality though.

I agree with you. This one would have been my first choice if it was just about sculpt. But I'm afraid of how it might turn out. It have a lot of metal and it's not what ET is used to work with... I'm afraid about the joint system and combining clips...

hello guys
enjoy
also
the price is almost 40k Yen tho, also in the video @3:53 the figure almost falls over lol
to be honest i start to think that it will be impossible to do an accurate Albegas figure without alot of parts swapping, because like getter robot alot of anime magic in the transformation and the combination, the legs and the mid section are oddly looking

Looks really cool. The sculpt is great and the combination looks imposing as arbegas should be. Proportion wise is better than the AT one. The individual robots also looks great. It seems to have a good amount of die cast. The bad is the metal plates on the side after transformation (they should have painted them at least). Things that worries me: There is a lot of friction during transformation. I'm afraid of scratching the paint. Articulations seems to be plastic on metal so I'm afraid of loosening. I can't see if the Clips on the legs are metal or plastic. If they are plastic they seems pretty fragile. Hope it turns out good, cause this could be the definitive arbegas. Its impossible to do a good arbegas without part swapping (in fact transformation requires part swapping), as with many other robots there's a bit of magic in the transformation (for example you will need bigger hands for combination mode or they would be too small).

I love you man, S_Gokin for posting that latest video! The more I see this figure, the more I am impressed. I liked everything I saw in that video. All except for the exposed metal sides on the bodies, and the lack of a more poseable ankle joint.
Regarding the partsforming, Albegas was a total partsformer in the anime and never had a perfect transformation. There are no exceptions to that. The arms and how they fold into the "backpack" section look really good, especially since that was an eye sore in the original vintage.
I really wish they would have gone with the metallic blue on the Beta robot just like the vintage; however, that's just me being nostalgic and stubborn. This totally is anime accurate, which is what they we're obviously aiming for with the inclusion of all the weapons and Super Abega ships.
Aside from those chest sections, diecast parts look really good on this.
I just noticed Amiami closed their Preorders for this now. We are in the home stretch now. Can't wait to examine this piece in hand. And hopefully it makes up for my disappointment with their Super Metal Tetsujin 28! I am trying to like Evolution Toys. I really am.

Yeah, Sculpt wise ET really is excellent. And your crazy ex girlfriend has really great tits! It doesn’t mean she’s not gonna steal your credit cards and light your house on fire again.

I was watching the promotional pics and the sides are not metal colored may be it was something in the prototype they used for the video.

Hmmm. not bad. Its like having the vintage toy once again but with better proportion and NOT worrying about the blue robot breaking and crumbling. Its almost exactly the same transformation and only parts swapping are the hands. Thanks bro SG for the vid.
