I just PO'd through CDJAPAN since they give you the shipping price. I used Registered SAL Small Packet for 1510yen. NY was charging 5000yen for the same method, and AmiAmi won't tell you until they "box" it. HLJ won't put shipping price until they have the item in stock.

Last time I used SAL registered from HLJ it got lost. EMS this time. And I agree with you mpchi, it is unlikely, just like Fewture built theirs. And I'm sure that they needed to approval of whoever owns the right to Getter

its Go Nagai and trust me he is more than happy to support new ideas and give his approval
Sentinel articulation is amazing no doubt but the fear of breaking the figure is always their, and for me im happy with articulation in Fewture Gokin
btw you mentioned you own few fewture gokins, whats your favorite one so far ?

I didn't follow much about this issue, but with Sentinel Shin Getter, does the ball joint really breaks, or it simply disconnet?

Its easy to pop back in place. See my description in the original Sentinel Shin threat. But the fact that it pops off upsets quite a few collectors. Mine holds up fine so far. I just dont twist the torso too much.

Didn't play much with it, so I didn't test the torso

Didn't play much with it, so I didn't test the torso I am with you in this one right out of the box the damn right feet came loose, it was a “clean break” since the parts just came like that on the box. The joint was expose and I was able to put the round piece on top of the feet and use liquid nails to glue it back. Haven’t touch it ever since and it’s almost a month or so since I put it on display and didn’t even bother to twist the chest or something. Pretty sad since this is a great looking shin and gives you shelf presence with the wings and else, but for a toy that advertise flexible and innovative moves really can’t do much... I am happy with him and the tag price was right, but can see spending that much money on another figure just to be a repaint. Much rather get the fewture since it has a different look to it. This is just me and my personal opinion not trashing Sentinel or nothing just HOPING they make it right this time...

All the piece of my collection are meant for display. All use static pose. So no pressure are on any joint

I feel the same. Haven't touch mine since I learned about this trouble but the truth is for me playability it's a very important factor. It's nice to play or get new poses for figures. I should be able to play with care but without worrying with a figure that announced articulation as a strong point and cost almost 300usd. I like sentinel items. I have tsugumori, jehuty and shiryu (the Godzilla x evangelion mecha). Those three are really fun pieces and you can get many extreme poses. I love them even when they lack metal content. I have mixed feelings about shin getter. Love the design, but I feel like I just got half of the item I wanted

Jehuty is just OK. Very nice sculpt, but the joints not very strong. Engineering is more basic. Still can pose really well, but much less simultaneously moving parts like other better sentinel riobots. One thing I don't like about it is some of the small friction joints don't fair too well after some very mild posing, particular the wings. They go limpy loose and droop with slightest touch and don't hold position well enough. Mine got a faulty elbow that is also quite looser than the other. The 'fin funnels' weapons it has is cool, but they use some pretty weird clip design to hold them on the floating ring, making them fall off very easy. For the most part, it is a figure you set up a cool pose or two and leave it alone for display. Not something you play with much. Core joints are ok if you strip down all accessories and attachments, aside those wings. Look-wise, it get full score.

I have it on display. Now I know Dancouga Sentinel has joint issues especially the shoulder portion.

But since I got a few Sentinel figures ranked at "awesome" territory, Jehuty just left me a lukewarm impression. Looks awesome, plays ok, and some fiddly accessories and loose bits. But if you are a fan of the mech or the game, it is worth having still.

i loved the game but sadly there isn't alot of good figure for the robot, only the awful revoltech I would recommend it. I bought mine used a few month ago and played with it sometimes. Joints are still tight. Articulation it's pretty good, a lot of panels moving, love the detail on it's feet (the blades). Funnels attach to the ring but the ring cleverly emulates the on screen display. Wings do move a lot but if you balance the figure they are not a problem. The only problem it's the secondary market price, it's around 200~250. I wouldn't pay more than 150usd for that figure (as a fan of the game, I got mine in an auction for 85usd, complete in box). Sorry for the off topic

Will the black be painted or bare plastic like the original? The pic so far is painted just like the promo pics for the original, which as we know turned out to be bare plastic. I like the painted look.

I like the painted look. I prefer colored plastic for chip reasons but I'm good either way as long as it's sealed well. Like you said though it's a prototype so really hard to judge.
