Yo' mamma!
Sorry, I have nothing to say about this issue, but I wanted to say anything 'cause the list is so dead!

Shonen joint connectors differ greatly between the UK and the Shonen Cyborg. So in answer to your question, no they are not really interchangable per se. Even the KWjr figures are not recasts of the UK Muton figure. The UK cyborg and Muton are a different species of animal all together.

I'm surprised! I would have thought otherwise but I haven't tried it. Johnny, I'll be back online PROPERLY soon.

I hate to contradict you, Guyx1, but I tried my British Cybo-nator weapons (Cybo-cutter and Cybo-mobile) on my gold reissue Shonen Cyborg, and they were a bit looose, but they fitted. I don't have a vintage Shonen, but when I got the reissues and the KWJrs, I remarked how similar the bodies are to my British Cyborg and Muton, as if they came from the same moulds. I wonder if Takara cast the British figures for Denys Fisher or if they sold them duplicate moulds.

I never said that they wouldn't fit, I just said they were "different". Completist that I am, I would feel weird if I had a toy with skinny UK joints on one arm and wider, norw solid japanese joints on the other.
I remember buying vintage Shonens that were broken thinking I could just swap parts from my UK cyborg body bank and I was bowled over when I saw that the joints were not quite the same. Don't get me wrong. They'll work if you swap them, but it the uk parts will be an obvious difference.

Guess the whole point was about the weapons. The weapons do work on everything. The UK weapons might fit a bit tighter though, as the uk joints were slightly different.

All the joints on the UK cyborg are different than the Japanese cyborg. All the white UK pegs have a sideways cut going through them. The legs are also held on by a rubbery bit which is different than the japanese covered elastic. The accessories will all work fine, but you can't use a REPRO cyborg to swap limbs with a vintage uk figure or anything like that without noticing a visible difference. Those are the MAJOR technical differences beyond the obvious physical differences anyway. - Guy
