Bandai maybe testing the water at the safest possible way.....may be?
Id be down with badguys ONLY if Bandai's heart's in it... Bandai def needs to reengineer the hip joints from previous two.
Maybe IF SOC Angoku does well, perhaps Bandai will consider releasing one...maybe. Bandai released crazy crazy chogokin before so....why not?

The set sucks, but it has spring-loaded iron fists for Maz, at least it looks that way to me, and that’s kind of cool. What’s the deal with the hover pilder? Don’t we have one of those already?

Like I said in the other thread this is inspired by Jumbo's. If you weren't around at that time or been exposed to the Jumbo craze when it was new you will never be able to understand just how popular this line was. Hell I remember being in India in the early 80's and seeing a kid with a Jumbo Gaiking and being so jealous lol. I only started collecting jumbo's within the last year, and I know exactly what these are. If I had not jumped into the world of Jumbo's and been obsessed and researched the deep history about them, I would definitely not know what these are and would probably think that these are dumb like the majority of my brothers on this thread. It's true what Chen said, if you weren't around at the time, or exposed to the Jumbo craze, then you probably DGAF about these. (It's like trying to persuade the average joe modern day (non G1) Transformers fan how cool Godaikins or Soul of Chogokins are. Most will be like "those are dumb or lame" too, because they had no exposure to them.) For the target market in Japan and Asia who are now in their late 40's, 50's, and early 60's, those Popy weapon accessories were HUGE to that generation. I can guarantee you that many of this age group who grew up with the original Popy weapons accessories in Japan and other Asian countries DO NOT think this is dumb or lame. And this is who Tamashii Nations is primarily producing these for. The Gokin.it scans even show that Tamashii Nations even kept the same Popy model numbers (XX-#) on these just like the vintage toys. Jumbo Machinders were a huge part of toy childhoods in the east. If it wasn't for Mattel importing them over as Shogun Warriors, we probably never would have been exposed to them in the west. Quite honestly, I actually think this is a pretty cool set as a paid homage to that generation of "kids". And as much as I love my chogokin history as much as anyone here, I'm starting to appreciate Jumbo Machinders slightly more especially with how rare they are now, especially since most of them were thrown away or recycled in Japan, thus commanding the four and five figure price points they carry on the market today.

I knew what these are but have no interest in buying them unless they don’t shoot as I collect jumbos. I prefer the old SOCs than new DC versions Because of shooting action. I’m with the old school and new stuff just don’t carry collectible appeal IMO.

If the weapons set actually have launching gimmicks then I would be interested, nothing like nostalgia to get us older collectors looking again

My only gripe is that the Mini-Jumbo it comes with isn't painted in the original Mazinger Jumbo colours.

Great.
Bandai wants us non-jumbo-fans to spend around 9k-yen (plus shipping) if we want the Hover Pilder and the Rocket Punches for our GX-70DC.
Iconic fan items always included in previous SOC Mazingers.
Guess Bandai's initial extortion with the GX-70VS crap didn't quite work out so well for them that they upped the ante.
Awesome, bandai.
...huge-roll-eyes...

I just pre-ordered a set from HLJ. I like this set and especially the fact that it comes with a Minifo. Something Bandai has never made. I wish they would make more items based on enemies from thee Mazinger and Grendizer.

Ordered a set from BBTS, I know they get their Japanese stuff later but at least it gives me time to pay for it.

Damn! All that new awesome art of our favorite classics is like icing on a cake. Damn I wish they would make another crossover movie featuring the SR depicted in the art.

The art would actually be more enticing to me than the weapons themselves. LOL.

I love this set. But I own the old gx01, gx02 and gx04 so probably it is not compatible (Also have the gx74). Also being in quarantine I can't open my business so I'd rather save money (I don't when our government in Argentina will allow us to work again)
