Takara will be releasing a reissue of the old Microchange mold known as Perceptor soon, and just like they usually do, e-Hobby is ready to release the same toy in Microchange colors as well. Now, it has come to my attention that they will not only release the toy in Microchange colors, but also include an actual Microman for that particular release! Check out the listing here. My question is now: Do any of you MM buffs recognise the mold of the Microman (named Ga'Mede)? It doesn't look vintage to me and I'm guessing the accessories aren't either -- although how cool would that be if it was a reissue Microman of a vintage type mold?

Stupid internet connection... Mods: Please delete one of my threads... thanks -- and sorry.

He looks like a Microforce figure to me. You can delete that thread yourself, I think.

Aha, Microforce -- thanks! Please enlighten the... um... un-enlightened: Are Microforce figures generic and then colored differently for each character, or is it possible to indentify the mold as being one specific character as the picture is at this point? Or has the mold been modified? And hey, what do you know: I could delete it myself! (For those who are just joining us, I accidentally made 2 identical threads due to connection problems at my end. Fixed now).

microforce started out as generic, from the same mould, but with the success of the series, they have moulded all sorts of new bits. Military Force ae a completely new design with lots of holes for plug-in accessories. Acro-Medalg, or whatever he's called, has a completely new, wide torso. I wouldn't like to say what that silhouetted figure is, looks like a commander from the first series, but I can't be sure, and they don't seem to want you to know. PS Garvy posted this link, if you didn't already see it: www.livejournal.com/users/rockettubes/it has a full picture of him!

Yeah, seen it now -- and thanks for the info! So, is it still just a "generic" MicroMan, or is Ga'mede (or whatever he's called) unique in any way (besides the colors)?

Ga'Mede is a straight recolor of the Commander Microman figure, same weapons and eveything I was going to pass on the black Perceptor (I have the original) but including the Microman makes it a must buy, especially now that I've seen the recolor ;D

His head is different than commander microman. Most microman have the exact same body, and it's the head that counts.

I figured it was just painted instead of chromed...either way it's still a must buy

That's how severly impaired a Microman buff I am... ;D So this is indeed an exclusive figure that MM collectors can't get anywhere else? Talk about cross-selling; Takara/eHobby are sure trying to haul in the MM fans for the reissue TF line -- look at the upcoming 2-cassette pack of the blue MC Condor and MC Panther...

It's not a new head...I knew I had seen it somewhere I picked up a few extra Millitary Force guys to fill the Godzilla suits and the head is from the guy that goes in Jet Jaguar

... so it's not a "new" figure? The body is generic and the head is from another release? Ho boy, I'm as confused as ever! *LOL*
