Not discrediting anyone's opinion of loving this release. I like it very much too. But to say there is no wobbliness is not quite true. Here in ToysTV's sample has the exact same wobbliness on mine.
(time stamp at 18 min 20 sec)
Notice whenever the guy tries to attach each lower arm, the whole upper torso sways/wiggles from side to side a couple degrees at the waist swivel. All that side to side swaying is pivoted at that not so sturdy waist swivel. On contrary, the ab crunch waist joint right above it is much sturdier and tight, doesn't induce any unintended movement.
(time stamp at 20 min 30 sec)
When he bend the knees, even though the figure only has a single ratchet knee joint, the wobbliness make the knee almost feel like it has a double joint. You can see it very clear on the left yellow leg at 20m 38s mark, with a 'wiggle' at that knee. This is due to the knee block rotational transformation joint, not completely locked in place in robot mode.
This GX-88 is easily an 8.5 or 9/10 for me. But when there is some wobble I noticed (and not just on mine), I point it out. Simple.

Absolutely. Both Voltron and Dancouga are simple as hell in comparison to most and just so happens the SoC Golion and Sentinel Dancouga are two of the three best diecast combiners I've ever owned. I defintely feel like Dairugger was made to the same standard as Golion but they're just very different by design.

This is where it get's conflicted, on one hand I love the engineering and wonder of putting together a well designed combiner robot. On the other hand once the "novelty" wear's off and you pretty much leave it in combined mode, this is where you find the short comings of an actual combining figure and where I appreciate the FA line. You loose the size and satisfaction of combining a robot but gain better proportions, pose-ability, and in many ways play-ability.

thanks for your feedback
maybe something is wrong with your unit, i can tell you that i played with mine like an 8 years old and i didn't notice anything i even did the shake test and nothing wobble
the only annoying thing (but not a deal breaker) is the ankle joints i wish if they hide it somehow

As someone who's shifted to only collecting the high-end, non-transforming Transformers for this reasoning you're preaching to the choir. With this stuff I feel like they're really bridging that gap between aesthetic and articulation with these combining bots which is great. That pose+ Baxinger is a shining example. However, I'd be allover the FA stuff if it were in scale with the SOCs as it's really the only thing that's kept me from jumping in.

Great review Kuma. I love this figure. I might have to switch the default hands now for display now. The other hands look really good on him.

You mentioned people modded the helicopter rotors with neodymium magnets? Can you provide details?
