I tried to check out 5 times and failed at the last screen. 2 times at NY 1 Hlj 1 CD Japan and 1 at Hobbysearch. AmiAmi I am not welling to try after my Gx71 Voltron incident. now I will try to hunt down 1 piece at original price if possible, if not so be it ,I am not welling to pay the inflated price for this. I am mad beyond words, my last attempt at Nippon yasan some how was canceled at the last screen !! I don't know what happened but got canceled ! tried again it showed me the higher price with the pay now option ! so I quit What incident was that?

So when can we expect transformation demos or the like from Bandai?
I would love to see bits and pieces of this SoC in action.

Buying from US is not a viable option for me (being in Australia) because of exchange rates and shipping costs - so I have to go the Japan route. This was a total sh!tfight to get a GX-88, for those that missed out - there will be US import stores like BBTS, etc to get it from so you have a chance to get one. Also, doesn't Bandai distribute in Asian markets such as Hong Kong? Bluefin is Bandai's American distributor. So all the NA retailers will be going through Bluefin for distribution. Not sure if Bandai has a distributor for Asian market. I also got cart jacked trying to get the GX-88. Will see if I can secure one with BBTS or some other retailer there. But a it's going to be more costly than getting from Japan especially with exchange and possible customs.

A little off topic. I’m just curious. After the release of the soul of chogokin Vehicle Voltron, would anyone be interested in seeing a Netflix Voltron Legendary Defender Soul of Chogokin? Or is it just me? I grew up as a kid in the 80s so the Lion Voltron was literally one of my two favorite cartoons as a child. That said, my parents only ever got me the yellow and green lions. Needless to say my hankering for Voltron never died and with Bandai and their Soul of Chogokin GX line, Bandai has made this 42 year old an extremely happy camper. Now on to the Netflix series. This is literally the show that got me back into collecting toys once more. Furthermore, this is the series I have to thank for my new found love of anything Bandai: Soul of Chogokin since it made me start looking into what was out there since I had not collected anything in long long time, so I personally would love to see a Voltron Legendary Defender Soul of Chogokin made. I hope Bandai is listening 😁

I contacted them right away and followed their way of handling such situations. after more than 4 months of waiting they didn't refund me the full amount, they only give me some store points and they were not responsible of it. and because I believed them and waited I couldn't score another piece because of the inflation prices of secondary market. this is my experience with them after 10 years of being a loyal customer.

Wow. That is terrible. I find it bizarre AmiAmi would not refund you for the purchase. Did you have insurance?

Sorry to hear that. Really, not much 'loyalty' to speak of when it comes to these shops. Appreciate them when they do get your orders, which encourage me to come back for more purchases knowing they can deliver. But when something goes wrong, we are merely a 'number' out of their thousands and thousands of customers. They can afford losing a few here & there out of their thousands, if your case turned into trouble. Sucks on our end, of course.

Haven’t tried to order one. Waiting on either eknightmedia or Toyarena to list it before I try. Hopefully the listing price isn’t too high since there’s CA tax now, about 10% more. Hoping they list it lower than $400. Otherwise, it’s gonna cost $440, but at least they throw in free shipping. I’m staying away from BBTS from now on. My last order from BBtS, they tacked on close to $30 in taxes. About $23 for the Metal Build X1 Crossbone and around $7 for the SH Figuarts Full Power Broly. No free shipping from them either. Most places offer free shipping for order over $150 spent.

I'm just hoping and praying for my fellow RJ Boards based in the states that the price isn't that ridiculous - but man, seeing a local POs back in my country for $550 USD yikes!

For those on the fence from japanworld IT their store wide 7% discount has ended so it back from 311$ to 332$ so congratulations to those who got it. For the people who didn’t. Why? It was there cheaper than most Japanese stores with a very good shipping rate. If you don’t grab it now preorder will be sold out later.

Price might end up cheaper even with shipping compared to the US release if the retail ends up $340 and above. I'm just worried if they have enough units for the orders they will receive.

To be fair, though, BBTS charging sales tax just brings it in line with every other American store, as retailers all list at the same sales price and are subject to the same laws. And shipping is a flat $4.00, which is practically nothing, especially if your Pile of Loot has a bunch of items in it. Everything being equal, I don't mind BBTS given the quality of customer service (it's unparalleled). My only reservation would be if the item's a hot item and the distributor shorts them and they in turn have to short customers who have preordered. It's why I'm gonna try to get a backup somewhere, because HLJ does the same thing.

This made NY's jacked up price sounds like a good deal, good grief. And considering that NY has now gotten into the habit of bending their customers over so that they can take advantage of them, that's saying a lot. A couple of GX-88 preorders have sold on eBay for $470 and $450 shipped. I'm expecting my HLJ order to come to about $325 + EMS shipping ($40-50?). For a Macross DX valk, I'd pay the mark-up if I really wanted it, but paying this kind of money on a Voltron now, when none of the US stores have even offered it, is premature.
